It is fair to say that Tony Pulis' team selection has not met with universal approval from the West Brom fans.

Saido Berahino is left on the bench in spite of fellow striker Salomon Rondon's suspension. Berahino is joined on the pine by Stephane Sessegnon and Callum McManaman.

  4. 'Nervous times for Swansea'published at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2015

Swansea v West Brom (15:00 GMT)

    John Roder
MOTD commentator at the Liberty Stadium

"These are nervous times for Swansea, and if results go badly over the festive period it could leave the Swans with a significant gap between them and safety.

"Only four players have scored for them in the Premier League this season, while they've managed to score just three times in their last seven matches; worrying statistics.

"West Brom arrive in South Wales needing a win of their own to extend their points total over the bottom three.

"Goals may be in short supply in this one, but you'd think the Baggies might just be too strong for the managerless Swans."

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has a message of hope and faith for the home fans at the Liberty Stadium.

Could it be a bit of a dig at sacked manager Garry Monk? And the reason that the Swans reportedly approached former boss Brendan Rodgers about a return to his old stomping ground?

“We must stay true to everything that has worked well for us, made us different and brought us success over the last 12 years," Jenkins writes.

“We need to get better and cleverer at what we have always done and not change what we all believe in.

“We must gradually get back to the Swansea way of playing and quietly restore confidence and belief in what we do to get the best out of the current squad of players."
