    Everton 1-1 Leicester

An excellent goal and Everton are deservedly level! Lovely, flowing football too as Romelu Lukaku tees up Tom Cleverley inside the box, he zips it on one more to Ross Barkley on his left, Barkley has the presence of mind to step inside a challenge but Kasper Schmeichel saves his effort.

Barkley then clips the ball back across goal only to see Andy King head it off the line, before Lukaku smashes the loose ball into the net!

    Chelsea 2-0 Sunderland

    Chelsea are in cruise control.

The fans appear a tad happier than they were pre match, but Jose Mourinho's name is still not far from their lips.

Sunderland almost grab one against the run of play but Duncan Watmore - he has a degree don't you know - fires wide after some decent control.

"You can tell by the players' reaction it was definitely a penalty. Riyad Mahrez just stood up the keeper and slotted it in the corner."

"Mahrez is full of confidence. He took his time and slotted that penalty right into the corner. No question too - that was a penalty."

    League Two

Can Chris Wilder celebrate his 100th game in charge of Northampton with a win? The leaders have started well against fourth-placed Portsmouth, Ryan Cresswell's header boosting their bid for an eighth consecutive victory as they enjoy a 1-0 advantage.

Carlisle have settled in well to their temporary base at Preston's Deepdale. Having been forced to switch their game against Notts County due to floods hitting their Brunton Park home, they lead 1-0 after a Danny Grainger penalty.

    Everton 0-1 Leicester

Jamie Vardy does not take the penalty as instead Riyad Mahrez steps up and glides the ball into the bottom corner with his left foot. Silky, nonchalant. The leaders on the march again - albeit against the run of play.

It's so, so easy for Chelsea.

This time, twinkle-toes Oscar dances through Sunderland's defence before shooting straight at goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon. He should score.

    Everton 0-0 Leicester

Is there a better team to watch at the moment than Everton? What a lovely crisp, direct move as Gerard Deulofeu slides a perfectly-weighted pass down the right, Romelu Lukaku bundles his man over and then stands up a cross to the back post, Ross Barkley arrives on it like a train but a potentially amazing goal is ruined by the England man's sliced volley wide.

Goodison Park rings out its applause though...

Louis van Gaal promised Manchester United fans more passion and thunder this afternoon and while it's not Fergie Time just yet there are a few more efforts on goal coming in. Wayne Rooney has another strike from 20 yards, again though it's well off target.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:22

    Chelsea 2-0 Sunderland

At Stamford Bridge, Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce cuts a pretty forlorn figure on the sidelines.

A long afternoon ahead as Chelsea dominate. A third goal seems a matter of time...

The Black Cats bring midfield Adam Johnson on for Sebastian Coates. A switch to four at the back.

Early goals from Nelson Oliveira and Ryan Mendes have given Nottingham Forest a 2-0 lead at home to MK Dons. Brentford, who are unbeaten in 11 games against teams in the bottom half, have started well in their bid to stretch that run, Sergi Canos giving them the lead against Huddersfield.

Carl in Reading: The only "palpable" thing today is the support for Jose and discontent for players... Costa, Oscar and Fabregas all booed by crowd here at the Bridge.
