I can’t argue that they didn’t deserve to win 3-0. I thought we were disappointing in all areas of the field and all areas of the game. They had more energy, they were more aggressive, they were better in every area of the pitch”

I thought we were poor. We never performed, never moved the ball quickly enough and started going through the motions. If we want to try and push up the league and do as well as we can then it needs to be better than that”

It was a bit of a patchy performance. Delighted with the result, we’ll take it all day long. We’ve been on the wrong end of late goals, we’ve lost a few bad ones so delighted to be on the right end today”

It’s the same old story for us. We’re not consistent for 90 minutes. Our Achilles heel this season is losing goals in injury time. You have to have character to see a game out, get over the line, even if it’s taking a point. You’ll not see a worse goal throughout Scotland than Partick’s winner”

No need for b teams with an 18 team league playing twice in a season and the reserve league brought back

It’s not unrealistic that we could split Hearts and Aberdeen if we continue in this form. It was a great result today because in terms of performances from [Dundee United], it’s probably as good as I’ve seen them this season. We had to be really on our mettle and we proved what a good side we are"

I thought we were terrific. We took the game to Hearts and possibly could have won it. I thought the second half we were great. We looked a threat on the break and we controlled it in spells

We thoroughly deserved the three points. It didn’t matter how we got three points, it was so important we got back to winning ways, especially here in Dingwall"

I honestly don’t believe we were at our best. They find a way to win. There are going to be lots of twists and turns from now, and we’re only in November”

We lacked a bit of quality. We just got sloppy, a little bit loose in possession. We did create chances but not enough"

Should've scored but, in the end, we had not enough quality. They hardly had a shot on target"

Hearts miss the chance to reduce Celtic's six-point lead at the top of the division. Aberdeen can now go second and to within five points of the leaders if they beat Hamilton Academical on Sunday.

St Johnstone, Ross County and Dundee consolidate their top-six places.

Kilmarnock move to within a point of eighth-placed Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Motherwell slip to second bottom with Partick Thistle now ahead of them on goal difference. Both hold a six-point advantage over basement side Dundee United.

Kilmarnock were rewarded for their organisation, endeavour and resolute nature. They needed some fine goalkeeping, as well as occasional moments of poor composure from Celtic, but they earned their point. The sight of Scott Brown hobbling off gingerly afterwards would have been more troubling to the home side than two dropped points, though"
