I'm thrilled for everyone associated with the club today. We've been through a hard time, as have the players considering they haven't been paid but the response they gave was fantastic. It's a big three points and one we've been waiting for, for a long time.

The goal has been a long time coming. We've been in a lot of games this season and not got what we've deserved. Hopefully that's a bit of the late Christmas present for the fans.

It's tremendous, obviously being a local derby as well. We just needed a win and hopefully this can help us into the New Year now. We just had to produce a performance as it was embarrassing the other day at Rotherham.

That is a huge win for Bolton and could be just the tonic that Neil Lennon needed at such a crucial time of the season. Can they now go on and get themselves to safety?

Bolton have beaten Blackburn thanks to a wonderful goal from Gary Madine.

A hugely entertaining Lancashire derby and the Wanderers have a second win of the season. They still sit bottom of the table but that will be a massive relief to Neil Lennon and everyone who follows the club.

    So, so close for Blackburn...

Ben Marshall's drive, Chris Taylor sets up Tom Lawrence but his shot takes a deflection and hits the post but bounces back into the arms of Ben Amos.

That was almost in slow motion as it went towards goal.

    Another Blackburn half chance.

The free-kick comes in and Grant Hanley's header takes a deflection on its way towards goal but Ben Amos is alert enough to change direction and take the ball in.

    Bolton 1-0 Blackburn

Bolton charge forward on the counter attack now with space in behind.

The cross comes in from the right and Josh Vela smashes it in first time, it hits the hand of the Blackburn defender as it looked to be heading towards goal - that touch sends it just wider for a corner and the referee ignores the penalty appeals.

It's turning into a rout in League One as Millwall score their fourth at Roots Hall.

This time, Steve Morison holds the ball up brilliantly before playing in his strike partner Aiden O'Brien who slots home calmly.

This would end a run of three straight League One defeats for Neil Harris' side.

Another view of the Gary Madine goal it was such a good volley on the spin to give Bolton the lead.

Right now though they are having to withstand a number of Bolton attacks, with the management feel the need to change things up?
