Those of you who watched Manchester United progress against Sheffield United on Saturday will have picked up on the jeering at Old Trafford as Louis van Gaal's side struggled to a 1-0 win.

Today, asked why some fans left early, the Dutch manager said: "Maybe [because] we haven't scored. Maybe the traffic."

His side are ball number 19 tonight. Please stay in your seats until the end of the draw. We have a traffic-management system in place.

Manchester City can move above the likes of Everton and West Brom on five FA Cup wins this season.

Their fourth-round game will arrive between a League Cup semi-final second-leg against Everton and a league trip to Sunderland. That'll make for three games in six days.

  7. The rehearsal draw...published at 18:56

    FA Cup fourth-round draw

    It's a big deal this.

The lower-league sides are hoping for the cash windfall which comes with a big-name draw. The big sides want a home fixture. But what did rehearsals throw up?

I can tell you that if the rehearsal draw counted we would be seeing - among others......

    Everton v Oxford

    Derby v Stoke

    Spurs/ Leicester v Bournemouth

  8. Who needs a replay?published at 18:52

As many as 10 ties from the third round need a replay while one - between Newport County and Blackburn Rovers - was of course postponed.

They'll all take place in the week beginning 18 January.

Would you have celebrated it definitely?

I'll say I'd take Roberto di Matteo's cup final strike in 1997. It was in the first minute after all meaning you could do as little as possible for the next 89 and still have a place in history. Feet up. Deckchair mode.

The FA Cup fourth round is scheduled for 30 and 31 of January.

Many of the 43 managers still in the competition will feel the games are stacking up, but few have been as vocal on the issue as Jurgen Klopp lately.

If his Liverpool side beat Exeter in a third-round replay, they'll face a long trip to Norwich on 23 Jan, a League Cup semi-final against Stoke on 26 Jan, the FA Cup on 30/31 Jan and a League game at Leicester on 2 Feb.

I make that four games in 11 days.
