  1. We should have had a penalty - Robinspublished at 16:50

    Chelsea 2-0 Scunthorpe

Scunthorpe United boss Mark Robins was frustrated at the decision to not give his side a penalty when Kevin van Veen was fouled by Ramires.

He said: "Chelsea made it very difficult for us and early on we gave the ball away too much but after that I thought we were good.

"It is a nailed-on penalty and you come to places like this and you want to get the decisions, but sometimes you don't

"We had opportunities to score but unfortunately Loftus-Cheek managed to get into the penalty area and made a decent contact on it for 2-0."

Super Daz: Spurs playing a lot of pretty football but without Kane up top you don't get the feeling that it's going do result in anything.

Dan Prowse: Have to admire Leicester's work rate off the ball. Every single player puts a shift in. #BBCFACup #TotLei.

Glyn Ley: Big fan of Mauricio Pochettino. Unsure about his one button coat-fastening technique though. #TotLei #bbcfacup.

  3. 'This is maybe the short way to Wembley'published at 16:49

    Chelsea 2-0 Scunthorpe United

Chelsea right-back Branislav Ivanovic says: "We scored a goal very early on then in the second half we lost control for 15 minutes but after we scored the second we controlled the game.

"After the first half they decided to go higher up the pitch and were more aggressive. They had a couple of chances to shoot, but we dominated the game and this is important for us.

"We're improving as a team and hope we will get better. We have to take every game seriously. This is maybe the short way to Wembley, but we are not completely focused on that yet and have to take it game by game."

  4. Costa 'doubtful' for WBApublished at 16:48

    Chelsea 2-0 Scunthorpe

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink, who says striker Diego Costa is "doubtful" for the Blues' Premier League game against West Brom on Wednesday, says: "I was happy with the result. The Premier League is difficult to get the fourth place, but the other projects are the FA Cup and the Champions League

"It is a decent result against a very strong opponent, especially in their set pieces. We started well, but we forgot to kill it off. It is good to be in the next round.

"We had high pressing, but we were a little bit arrogant in finishing off."

Asked if he was tempted to make more changes to his starting line-up, he replied: "The temptation was there, but the will was to not have the same experience as last year when they were kicked out in the early stages."

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 16:46

    Tottenham 1-1 Leicester

Leicester end the half on the front foot - Michel Vorm punching a corner clear. A fast and furious 45 minutes comes to an end. Good stuff that.

Demarai Gray continues to look a threat, having a pop from range which deflects off a keeper, loops into the air and is caught before it can go out for a corner by Michel Vorm.

If only Danny Rose could add better delivery to his marauding runs down the left flank. He gets in behind for fun, but his final ball is often lacking. Another Spurs move breaks down for that reason.

"The three in Leicester's midfielder - Gokhan Inler, N'Golo Kante and Andy King - have got a huge responsibility in this game.

"They've got to track runners and get Leicester playing - Kante has been fantastic but he's been a bit subdued in this match.

Jonathan Pearce: "I think they're really missing Danny Drinkwater."

While most Premier League clubs have been fielding a who's who of academy players this weekend, many of Tottenham's youngsters are familiar faces because they get exposure in the Europa League. That can only be a benefit. Josh Onomah is one of those players and he's catching the eye this evening.

"Kieran Trippier will prove in time that he is a true Tottenham player. He passes the ball well, he defends properly and he will be a terrific signing. He has just been unlucky in that he has not been able to dislodge Kyle Walker yet."

I like Tottenham. They get a lot of stick for the manner of their play, but there's more than one way to skin a ca... cactus.

They are the Alastair Cook of football: they like to control things from the start, patiently construct victory... and they are winners under Pochettino.

"Demarai Gray is holding the touchline and is feeling his way into the game. Claudio Ranieri won't expect too much of him in these early stages. He is a fine prospect though and had a terrific season for Birmingham last season."

"Their success this season is going to come down to how well that defence plays and they can't concede those type of goals."

Leicester have rattled Tottenham here. Spurs are a team who like to control proceedings and the fact the match has turned a little frenetic won't sit easy with them.
