Just under 20 minutes to go for Gary Neville to find a first win as Valencia manager. And what a win it would be.
Just seen that not-penalty incident again, maybe it wasn't as clear as I thought as Ronaldo, the keeper and defender Aymen Abdennour came together. Anything could have happened.
While I'm typing that up, Real Madrid are down to 10 men as Mateo Kovacic is sent off for a lunging tackle on Joao Cancelo. Scenes.
Valencia escape here. Cristiano Ronaldo lets the ball go past him and chases onto it - he appears to be brought down by keeper Jaume Domenech, who escapes. Somehow.
Real Madrid bring off striker Karim Benzema for Lucas Vazquez, who is more of a winger type. There are whistles from the crowd although you suspect it's Valencia fans unhappy at him for scoring against then - rather than away support.
Marcelo's cross meets Cristiano Ronaldo, who chests the ball down and then half-volleys over from 20 yards. The game is coming to life now.
Mateo Kovacic gets the ball in midfield for Real Madrid and bursts into the box but then seems to overestimate his own pace as he knocks the ball on ahead of himself and Valencia's keeper smothers it.
Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes has a go from just outside the box which Keylor Navas tips over. It might have moved in the air as the Costa Rican didn't look too comfortable.
Valencia's Dani Parejo, with 17, has scored more goals than any other midfielder in La Liga since the start of last season. In second place is James Rodriguez (16), who is on Real Madrid's bench.
Believe it or not we've had our first save of the game, Real Madrid right-back Danilo's shot is straight at Jaume Domenech.
Half an hour to go. Would this be a disastrous result for either side?
Moments later, Antonio Barragan gets himself booked. He slides straight into Sergio Ramos in the opposition area and then has a little moan at the referee.
Marcelo runs straight into Antonio Barragan and wants a penalty. The pair then clash and former Liverpool reserve Barragan throws himself to the ground.
Textbook La Liga stuff there.
Valencia seem to have forgotten that they've equalised.
Danilo does great down the Real Madrid right but none of his team-mates expected him to do so well so nobody is there to meet his cross.
Have some faith in him, lads.
Real Madrid have started this second half well and Gareth Bale runs into the box and the ball breaks to Marcelo whose shot is blocked.
Real Madrid get a free-kick - Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale both stand over it.
Bale takes this one but he just punts it over the crossbar. Poor effort.
Second half is under way. Can Gary Neville find his first La Liga win?
