As a player, Steve Stone may have specialised in arriving late in the box - he's just managed it in the commentary box.

Delayed by the traffic problems outside the Etihad, he's just arrived there for BBC Radio 5 live

  3. Postpublished at 19:56

    Liverpool v Arsenal (20:00 GMT)

The teams are out on the pitch at Anfield, and at White Hart Lane, as our two later games edge close to kick-off.

  4. Postpublished at 19:55

    Swansea 0-1 Sunderland

Swansea have settled down after that horrific opening 10 minutes, some trademark passing and moving now from the men in white. The chairman compared the Swans to Real Madrid this week. They'll need to play like them now.

    Man City 0-0 Everton

No goals at the Etihad, here's why apparently...

Kevin de Bruyne with the first real chance of the game.

The Belgian chases on to Raheem Sterling's through ball but pokes wide.

Still fans streaming in - there are going to be a lot of people stuck in traffic and very unhappy.

    Could they have delayed this?

  7. 'Niceties on hold at Anfield'published at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2016

    Liverpool v Arsenal (20:00 GMT)

    Guy Mowbray
BBC Match of the Day commentator

"Jurgen likes Arsene ("one of the best in the world") , external and Arsene likes Jurgen ("a great manager"). , external

"They're from cities just 66 miles apart across the French-German border, and have formed a mutual admiration over six Champions League games between Arsenal and Dortmund.

"For now though, the niceties end - with Liverpool v Arsenal games always having an edge.

Klopp's Reds are battling gamely with brutal January fixture and injury lists, and much of their hopes here rest on what central defensive pairing he can field.

The Gunners meanwhile have coped with their own injury worries superbly, winning seven of their last eight games in all competitions.

No Francis Coquelin, no Santi Cazorla, no Alexis Sanchez - no problem...a trip to Southampton aside.

  8. 'A game that could carry huge significance'published at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2016

    Tottenham v Leicester (20:00 GMT)

    John Motson
BBC Match of the Day commentator

"These two teams clash in the second of three matches against each other in 10 days, but there is no doubting that this is the most significant.

"Few people would have predicted back in August that by this stage of the season Tottenham and Leicester would have lost just four league games between them.

"Both clubs played fringe players in the FA Cup on Sunday but will revert to their strongest line-ups for a game that could carry huge significance in the race for the Champions League places and a potential title challenge.

"If Tottenham win they are just a point behind Leicester, but lose and the gap widens to seven points."

Some cold scenes at Stoke and Southampton tonight, but not as cold as these places...

Chizz Bumpsford: I'm listening from Tomsk in Siberia where it's currently -26, coldest listener surely...

danny payne: Hey Chris in Oslo, Montreal's a particularly chilly -19. Mid-afternoon here too...

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:52

    Stoke 0-0 Norwich

First chance of the night falls for Stoke forward Marko Arnautovic, who cracks in a low shot from 15 yards and Declan Rudd makes a full-length stop. Good save.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:53

Dom Oka: might say #ncfc, external third kit is horrendous but hugely popular locally. Hopefully it will put off Stoke if others hate it so much!

Rachel Armitage: Norwich's away strip reminds me of a Twister ice lolly!

  14. 'A nightmare!'published at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2016

    Swansea 0-1 Sunderland

    Steve Claridge
    BBC Radio 5 Live

"Lukasz Fabianski has had an absolute nightmare of epic proportions there."

  15. CLOSE!published at 19:50

    Swansea 0-1 Sunderland

    Dear oh dear oh dear.

Swansea's defence are all over the place and it should be 2-0 to Sunderland already. So much space as Patrick van Aanholt gallops down the left and drills in a low cross, Adam Johnson arrives on it and just needs to steer it in. He gets his angles wrong and clears it!

  16. Postpublished at 19:51

    Southampton 0-0 Watford

A cagey start at Southampton as Watford's in-form striker Odion Ighalo gets caught offside a number of times.

A bit more patience Odion son...

  17. Postpublished at 19:50

    Chelsea 0-0 West Brom

West Brom are giving it a go early on.

Darren Fletcher advances down the right and his cross to the far post is headed just over by James McClean.

A few more inches and would have converted that.

  18. Postpublished at 19:50

    Stoke 0-0 Norwich

Norwich's kit is an absolute eyesore. This match is not much better so far. A freezing, windy evening.

  19. goal

GOAL - Swansea 0-1 Sunderlandpublished at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2016

    Jermain Defoe (3 mins)

This is a terrible goal all round! A shocker from Swansea who are sinking like a stone.

Swans keeper Lukasz Fabianski takes a goal-kick, on the deck, and picks out Adam Johnson 20 yards from goal! Johnson then finds Fabio Borini, whose shot is palmed out and Jermain Defoe bundles in the ebound.

Defoe was offside too. Sunderland lead.

  20. CLOSE!published at 19:47

    Chelsea 0-0 West Brom

    So close from Diego Costa.

The striker bundles his way through a couple of tackles before shooting powerfully over the bar from 20 yards.

    Physical from Costa.
