Saido Berahino's netted his first league goal since October...and it comes after he made an apology to the West Brom fans.

The 22-year-old tried to force a move away from The Hawthorns in the summer after the Baggies rejected two bids from Tottenham Hotspur., external

And in September he tweeted he would never play for chairman Jeremy Peace.

But in a statement on Friday, Berahino said: "It is something I look back on and really regret. I should never have said that. I am human."

I don't think anyone was expecting that...

Claudio Yacob muscles Wilfried Zaha off the ball and Palace earn a free-kick out on the right. 

It's whipped in by Yohan Cabaye, and after Jordon Mutch's drive is blocked, it falls to Joe Ledley before going wide.

Wilfried Zaha pushes Craig Gardner in the back and gets a talking to from the referee. 

Craig Dawson takes the free-kick and as Sessegnon dashes into the centre of the pitch, he's then brought down by Jordon Mutch. Another free-kick against Palace.

Gardner has a go from 25-yards out and it takes a huge deflection off Joel Ward and hits the post!

A lucky escape for the visitors.

A stretcher is on for Chris Brunt and the Northern Ireland midfielder is carried off in a lot of pain.

He gets a brilliant reception as he goes off. Not the way the Baggies fans would want to see him leave the field after a difficult week for both parties.

Crystal Palace are wrestling for the ball in midfield and as Wilfried Zaha thinks he's made some head way, the referee blows for offside.

West Brom's Chris Brunt is down on the floor in agony after grappling with Zaha. He's holding his knee and looks in quite a bit of distress.

We've been playing 38 minutes and Palace have had their first effort on goal.

Martin Kelly whips the ball in from the right and it reaches the head of Jordon Mutch, but he heads wide.

They've got three for the first time this season, but West Brom aren't putting their feet up.

Palace are camped in their own half and are forced to defend a Chris Brunt free-kick. 

It's fed from left to right but a strong challenge from Jordon Mutch sees it go out of play.

That's Saido Berahino's first Premier League goal since 17 October last year. Worth waiting for though, the 22-year-old took it with some grace.

The Palace man has shaken it off, it seems, and is back up on his feet.

Emmanuel Adebayor then goes in the book for clipping Gardner on the ankle. Unnecessary from the Palace striker. 

A penny for Alan Pardew's thoughts? 

He's stood looking very, very glum in the Crystal Palace technical area. 

The visitors have barely gone on the attack and their defence isn't up to much either.

Palace earn their first corner of the game but Connor Wickham can only head behind for a goal kick. 

Before this game, West Brom had only had 77 shots on target all season, fewer than any other club.

And only Aston Villa (21) have scored fewer goal than the Baggies.
