With Middlesbrough and Brighton not playing today, Burnley will extend their lead at the top of the Championship to seven points if they win at Huddersfield.

Andre Gray, the division's leading scorer, has netted in each of his last three matches.

At the other end of the table, a new era begins at Bolton after the Sports Shield consortium led by Dean Holdsworth completed their takeover on Thursday.

Bottom club Wanderers are at home to Preston.

"When Norwich actually start believing they can win in games that is when they are the most vulnerable.

"The longer the half has gone on Man City have been disappointing, I think Norwich will be the happier team at half-time."

Not meaning to worry Norwich fans but your team have conceded more second half goals than any other Premier League side in 2015-16 so far (34).

And Manchester City have scored more goals in the opening 15 minutes of the second half than any other PL team this season (12).

And it was 0-0 at half-time against Aston Villa last weekend.

Neil, in Swansea: As a Swans fan, it's sad watching Bony. Superb lone striker and we've hugely missed him. Will bounce back at a new club next season.

Nigel, in Somerset: Players like Bony and Benteke get hyped up. Clubs like Man City have got the money to a) have a punt and b) prevent other clubs from signing.

    Norwich 0-0 Man City

Well after 15 minutes you would have put good money on Norwich being buried this afternoon. But Norwich ended the half very well indeed.

  7. CLOSE!published at 45 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Man City

Matt Jarvis rolls his man on the edge of the area and gets a shot off - it deflects away from Joe Hart but just wide, with referee Jonathan Moss being a stickler and blowing for half-time before the corner can be taken.

"I think Norwich will be happier the longer this half has gone.

"They have worked their way back into this game and I now see Norwich creating something in the final third, when they were looking pretty toothless early on."

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 43 mins

Nathan Redmond was down a little earlier and he goes down again, a muscle problem. He can't run this off so on comes Graham Dorrans and on will be added a dollop of injury time.

Richard Parfitt: Just made a noise like a chicken being run over when Bamford hit the bar.

Jay: What a shot that was!

Joshua Murray: Norwich purring in the last 5 mins.

What a goal that would have been! Maybe not quite Jeremy Goss-esque - but a great hit.

"He was all of 25 yards out. That is a brilliant strike. He cut across the ball and I think Joe Hart was well beaten."

  13. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 38 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Man City

    What an effort that is!

Nicolas Otamendi has one of his snoozy moments as he just stopped for a second, and Patrick Bamford stole in to win the ball. He had no options either side so took on the ambitious strike, 25 yards out on the half-volley, and he crashed the left-footed shot against the top of the crossbar!

Lovely hit. Norwich ending the half really well.

"The crowd have turned up. That was really good interplay. You have got to say Manchester City are causing their own problems by giving the ball back to Norwich so cheaply."

Joe Evans: Bamford seems like the only Norwich player that's trying, and he's not even a Norwich player!

Stu from Bothwell: Can't believe Norwich have dropped Naismith. He's the kind of hard working out-ball they could use in this game!

Wilfried Bony and Christian Benteke are perhaps showing the gulf between the 'big' Premier League clubs and the rest. Or is it all just down to confidence? I wouldn't be surprised to see either hit 20-odd goals next year if they get a move this summer..

Norwich are harrying Manchester City much better now. Making that extra man in midfield tell.

Noel Fitzpatrick: I would definitely have started Iheanacho over Bony, more pace. Bony looks drained of confidence.

Joseph Murphy: Actually cover for Aguero plays quite a lot as he is injured a lot.

"Man City still have the players to hurt Norwich but Norwich have started to show a little bit more going forward."

Norwich have somehow got to the half-hour mark unscathed and they are actually beginning to play a bit better now. Can they test Joe Hart though? Patrick Bamford has not had a sniff up front.
