Palace fancy this. Wilfried Zaha is at it down the right now, passes back to Joel Ward, whose high cross is headed down and wide by Yannick Bolasie. The Palace winger looks embarrassed by that effort. The Eagles need to get the ball to him, maybe, always!

Oh so close to a second and West Ham are pulling out the party tricks.

Manuel Lanzini, buoyed by that wonderful goal earlier, backheels a pass into the path of full-back Aaron Cresswell, whose daisycutter is deflected narrowly wide of goal.

This is a chance for Palace. Yannick Bolasie worms his way to the byline, crosses to the back post, Wilfried Zaha has half the goal to shoot at, but manages to poke it wide of the near post. Disappointing.

After that early scare for Palace, where Riyad Mahrez went close, the home side are starting to thread a few passes together as "Eagles, Eagles" resounds around Selhurst Park. Their upturn in performance comes at the same time that Yannick Bolasie is seeing more of the ball. Coincidence? I think not.

Having fallen behind, youngster Kenedy looks to drag Chelsea back into the contest but the Brazilian's effort is wayward and Adrian can wave it over the crossbar.

At the back, they're going to need major restructuring work as John Terry and Gary Cahill are all over the place, tackling each other when challenging for the ball. Dimitri Payet can give them the runaround today.

Stoke on top now as they seek to add to their early opener by Jon Walters. Marko Arnautovic is the latest to try his luck but his shot is scuffed wide. 

A brilliant start for Bristol City who are 2-0 up already against bottom club Bolton, with Aaron Wilbraham and Lee Tomlin both on target within the first 10 minutes.

Elsewhere the only other goal in the Championship has gone to QPR who are 1-0 up at Preston North End thanks to Sebastian Polter.

Brimming with confidence, Dimitri Payet attempts a side-footed volley from around 25-yards out, but Thibaut Courtois can see it wide.

West Ham look good value for their lead and you wouldn't bet against them getting another.

Great chance for Leicester as Riyad Mahrez is put clean through but Wayne Hennessey makes a great stop to deny the Algerian international from giving Leicester a very important lead.

John Ruddy used to be a decent goalkeeper but he's just not so good nowadays. A flaps at a corner which eventually rolls to the edge of the box, but West Brom midfielder Claudio Yacob lashes his shot just wide of goal.
