    Should Neville get more time?

Pete Naphasorn Webb: Van Gaal is still at United, so anything is possible

David Shaverin: I like his tactics... lose 7-0 in the first leg, then turn it on and win 8-0 in the second. Sound plan

Alan Tate: No, if Ryan Giggs gets Man Utd job, come and work with him.

James Pearse: Every manager needs time. He's earnt it

And Valencia are almost level now as a quick break ends up with Alvaro Negredo, who looks to stroke the ball into an empty net only for Juan Manuel Vargas to clear the ball off the line.

'The Beast' probably should have scored there.

It's almost a second as Ricky van Wolfswinkel tries to play in Charly Musonda but just overhits it.

A disaster for Valencia and Gary Neville. Ruben Castro starts the move outside the box, he plays it to Chelsea loanee Charly Musonda, who in turn gets it to Ricky van Wolfswinkel, on loan from Norwich. The Dutchman's shot lands to Castro, who steers home from close range.

Valencia have the first chance of this game. Jose Luis Gaya pulls the ball across to unmarked Alvaro Negredo, who steers an effort wide from inside the box.

Kenneth Wilson: Give Gary Neville time! The Barcelona result was freak and shouldn't be a real shock given Valencia played the 2nd half with 10 men...let's face it, most teams would struggle to contain Barcelona with a man down...he needs time to bring in his own men and mould them in his way...he'll be a top manager one day I'm sure...ignore the muppets baying for his sacking they should be ashamed of themselves..

  7. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:59 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2016

Second half under way just under an hour after the first half was meant to kick off. This referee must have a nice dinner to get home to.

  8. The first half in numberspublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2016

Not much to separate the two struggling teams so far. Valencia haven't won in 11 league games, Real Betis are 12 without a win in all competitions.

    Should Neville get time?

Martin Armitage: Neville will be there until June. Long term think his ambitions lay with Salford City and England. Too many fingers in pies, etc.

Sam Gray: His best quality was in depth analysis of the game, he can't do that effectively in a non English speaking country.

DSSBrooks: Absurd to appoint Neville to his first managerial role at a big club where he doesn't even speak the language. Sitting duck.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2016

Real Betis came to life in the last couple of minutes of that first half, but it's been a half of hard battling but so little quality, conviction or confidence.

  11. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 45+1 min

Real Betis want a penalty as Ricky van Wolfswinkel finds Charly Musonda in the box and he goes down under a challenge from Jose Luis Gaya, who has just come on. Referee gives a corner.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 44 mins

Valencia have to make a change at left-back as Guilherme Siqueira limps off to be replaced by Jose Luis Gaya.

Gary Neville gives the Brazilian a slap on the back as he comes off.

  13. Postpublished at 43 mins

This is by far the best chance of the game so far and Ricky van Wolfswinkel has blown it. Charly Musonda gets the ball on the edge of the box and plays it across to the Norwich loanee who is unmarked, 16 yards out, but literally fires it straight at Valencia keeper Mathew Ryan.

  14. Postpublished at 42 mins

Real Betis' Charly Musonda, making his professional debut, cuts in from the wing and has loads of time to decide what to do next. His shot from distance is poor and well wide. Poor closing down from Valencia.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 36 mins

Valencia midfielder Dani Parejo is the fourth Los Che player booked so far, looks like for dissent. There's barely been any terrible tackles but there's been loads of yellow cards.

    Should Neville get more time?

Stephen Essex: Neville should be the next United manager just to make them even worse than they already are

Jonathan Brindley: Out of his depth. Nice guy but wrong club at the wrong time. He will get there but needs time.

Roy Oriokot: If it's time to sink the ship further, then yes

Neither side can keep possession for more than a few seconds. It's misplaced passes after misplaced passes. This really is dire so far. I've seen better games in League Two this season.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 30 mins

Valencia's Denis Cheryshev goes into the book for a foul on teenager Charly Musonda. Cheryshev's team-mate Andre Gomes was shown a yellow card a couple of minutes ago too.

  19. Postpublished at 28 mins

Valencia winger Sofiane Feghouli puts in a cross for Alvaro Negredo but Martin Montoya controls it on the inside of his foot - killing the ball instantly, turns and goes for a run.

No way he went meant that first touch unless he is literally the most confidence defender in earth's history.

    Should Neville get more time?

Kagande Job Lado: I still believe he will be a great manager with time. Let's give him a support and little more time

Mutensa William: They should fire the hell out of Neville

Lee Davies: Yes. Valencia were in trouble before he took charge
