Not for the first time this season, the BBC Radio Scotland team are not overly impressed by referee Willie Collum. The booking for Ash Taylor did seem strange and the Euro 2016 official must have been the only person in the ground who didn't see Owain Fon Williams push an early shot from Graeme Shinnie on to the crossbar.

"It's been a first class performance from Inverness. They have been very positive, with a good tempo, but they haven't really created any chances. The goal was a gift from Ash Taylor. There are occasions when he lacks concentration and takes too many risks but generally his play has been good this season."

Gary Wilson, Aberdeen: Poor stuff from the Dons? They say we can't compete with Celtic. They aren't the problem it's everyone else! Ash Taylor is very poor too. The new clangers!

Anonymous: Since gifting ICT a silly equaliser, we have been second best, doesn't help we've lost Jonny Hayes. Need to up the game in second half.

From the resulting corner, big Ash Taylor bundles the ball over the crossbar with his outstretched arm and earns a booking to end a miserable first half for him. It's a very harsh yellow card since he was being pulled every which way by his marker Gary Warren and had no idea where the ball was.

Shay Logan breaks forward for Aberdeen and delivers a lovely cross for Simon Church to run on to. The Wales forward connects with his header in front of goal but Danny Devine gets in front of him to deflect the ball wide.

"Aberdeen have been second best so far. Inverness are picking up every second ball. It's about shape and that should be addressed."

"Inverness CT very impressive now and really seem to be hitting the form of last season. A little more purpose in the final third could have them ahead. More care with the final ball is required."

Miles Storey scampers after a Liam Polworth through ball but there's just too much on the pass, allowing Aberdeen goalie Scott Brown to come and collect.

    Inverness CT 1-1 Aberdeen

Around 30 yards out, Inverness midfielder Greg Tansey lines up a free-kick in a central position after Jordan Roberts is felled. There's plenty of pace and movement on the ball but it fizzes a few feet wide.

The hosts repel a Niall McGinn free-kick without too much fuss and immediately launch another furious counter-attack but they're maybe in too much of a hurry to get forward and the danger is snuffed out.

Caley Thistle are really squeezing the play when they lose the ball, not giving Aberdeen a second to settle in possession.

A setback for the visitors as livewire winger Jonny Hayes goes off with what looks like a hamstring problem. Peter Pawlett is on in his place.

Brian, Dalmuir: Celtic have Efe Ambrose. Aberdeen have Ash Taylor. They could be the "stars" of the title race this season.

  16. CLOSE!published at 25 mins

    Inverness CT 1-1 Aberdeen

The hosts should be ahead. A corner from Greg Tansey bounces through a cluster of players and pops up on to the head of Carl Tremarco at the back post. However, the left-back can only flick it wide from a couple of yards out.

"Schoolboy stuff from Ash Taylor. Totally in control of that situation and a lapse handed an equaliser on a plate with Aberdeen looking bang on form to that point. A real boost for the home side who, in fairness, opened well."

Jonny Hayes slaloms his way forward on the left only to be brought down by a sliding challenge from Carl Tremarco near the edge of the penalty area. The Inverness defender is booked for his trouble and Niall McGinn curls the free-kick wide. Not by much.

The hosts are level after some shocking defending from Ash Taylor. The Aberdeen centre-half cuts out a probing pass from Liam Polworth but his heavy touch leaves the ball behind for Iain Vigurs to run on to in the box and he slams a shot beyond Scott Brown.

Aberdeen win their first corner but the hosts clear at the second attempt and launch a counter-attack. Lewis Horner makes a galloping run from left-back but he can't keep a long ball from Greg Tansey in play.
