Well it finishes in exactly the same scoreline from the fixture earlier in the season at the Nou Camp. That was no stroll for Barca, who now will regroup for their Champions League tie at Arsenal on Tuesday. 

Plenty to mull over for Mr Wenger's men. Barca were impressive up top, but even then they wasted chances and the defence was disjointed at times. Room for encouragement.

Las Palmas come down the other end, desperate defending from Barca as Javier Mascherano throws his body on the line to stop a cross. And it's all over.

Neymar is played over the top, he has Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi with him, and there are no Las Palmas defenders in sight, but the Brazilian opts to shoot and his effort is smothered. Poor decision. 

Three minutes of stoppage time, can Barca hang on? It's been a good game, keenly contested. 

Another chance for Sergio Araujo. This time the ball is chipped into the box, the Las Palmas striker stretches to prod the ball on goal, but Claudio Bravo gets a touch. Oh so close for Las Palmas, they still have the energy to get an equaliser yet. 

Here we go, Dani Alves gives the ball away close to the edge of his own area, the ball is crossed but Barca are saved by Thomas Vermaelen's diving header.

Anything left for Las Palmas? The sun is out in the Canaries as the Roque Mesa and Dani Alves both go into the book. 

Las Palmas cut straight through the middle of the Barca defence and after a couple of touches, it falls to Sergio Araujo who fires inches wide of the post. He's very unlucky. 

Las Palmas defending in numbers now as Lionel Messi tries to weave his way through the opposition rearguard. Maybe a set-piece will be the best way the hosts can equalise?

Las Palmas substitute Sergio Araujo is straight into the action and chips just wide from the edge of the box. That could have been a hell of an introduction, and it wasn't far off at all.

Luis Enrique looking pensive on the Barca bench. Less than 20 minutes left and there is a bit of a lull in the game. That will suit the Catalan side. 

A change for Barca as Sergi Robero is replaced by former Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen. Wonder if he will play in the Champions League tie at the Emirates. Another chance for Luis Suarez as he latches onto a through-ball but his touch is not strong enough to beat Javi Varas as the Las Palmas keeper races out of his goal.

Dani Alves is racing clear down the right flank and manages to keep it in, although replays cast some doubt on that decision, winning a corner. Jonathan Vieira is going off with Mauricio Lemos on in his place, that's a hammer blow for Las Palmas. The corner comes to nothing. 

An injury problem for Jonathan Vieira, who is looking a bit shaken by it. Shortly afterwards, Neymar is played in down the inside-left channel but is marginally offside.
