That's all from me this evening, thanks for being with us as Brighton secured a comfortable victory after a first half to forget for Leeds United.

The Seagulls capitalised on a series of mistakes to race into a 4-0 lead and never looked back.

You can read a match report from my colleague Phil Cartwright here.

Remember, you can follow coverage of all the midweek fixtures in the Premier League and Championship via the BBC Sport website.

    Goodnight.

Brighton should have got their fifth just now.

Jiri Skalak is played in by Bruno and is one-on-one with Marco Silvestri.

But the Czech dithers and, as he tries to round the keeper, Sol Bamba comes back to dispossess him.

Leeds have carved out the better openings in the second half but are not really looking too threatening.

Still, they've kept a clean sheet so far in the second half.

  13. Brighton 4-0 Leedspublished at 80 mins

Brighton sub Jiri Skalak has just blazed a half-volley high over the bar from a narrow angle.

It was rather ambitions by the Czech, who is still looking for his first goal since joining Albion last month.

There has not been too much cut and thrust from the Seagulls in the second period.

All the damage was done by the home side in the first 45 minutes.

SJ McNab: If I were a Brighton fan I'd want a 1/2 refund. Might be 4-0 up at interval but they've done nothing since....

Ah, I think the home fans will be quite content with their evening's entertainment...

Mustapha Carayol goes for an ambitious long-range effort which cannons off a defender and into the hands of David Stockdale.

Leeds are having plenty of possession and efforts while Brighton have been very quiet in the second half.

It has been an evening to forget for Leeds fans so far, with a round trip of almost 520 miles to the south coast.

It looks like the Whites' run in the Championship will extend to one win in 11 games.

The Yorkshire side have never won at the Amex Stadium.
