Burnley extend their lead at the top of the Championship to four points after a 3-2 win at Fulham and second-placed Middlesbrough losing 1-0 at Rotherham. It's a fifth straight win for Sean Dyche's side, who look well on course for an immediate Premier League return.

Brighton move up to third after beating Sheffield Wednesday, while Bolton are still 10 points adrift at the bottom following their 2-2 draw at home to Ipswich.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

So two late goals for Bolton rescue a point on an emotional night as they remembered the Burnden Park disaster of 70 years ago.

Ipswich miss the chance to go into the play-offs with that late equaliser.

  5. Bolton 1-2 Ipswichpublished at 21:53 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March 2016

Just the six minutes of added time at the Macron Stadium.

    Brighton 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

A missed opportunity for both sides as the battle between the two promotion hopefuls ends in a stalemate.

Not a classic in the pouring rain, but the Owls will count themselves the unluckier of the two sides - having forced David Stockdale into two second-half saves.

The Seagulls are third, on a night when both Middlesbrough and Derby lost, while Wednesday are relying Bolton to do them a favour if they're to stay in the top six this evening...

Four minutes of added time at the Amex, as Kazenga LuaLua sees his deflected shot collected by Keiren Westwood.

  9. Football League round-uppublished at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March 2016

In League One, Bradford pulled off the surprise of the night as they won against top side Burton Albion while Scunthorpe sealed a 2-0 victory against Doncaster and Shrewsbury added some breathing room towards the relegation places with a 2-1 win against out-of-form Coventry.

Meanwhile in League Two, Bristol Rovers had the better of 10-man AFC Wimbledon, who had Adebayo Akinfenwa sent off. Elsewhere, Portsmouth came out 3-1 winners away at Accrington, Barnet won 3-0 against Barnet and struggling Dagenham played out a goalless draw against Carlisle.

  10. Brighton 0-0 Sheffield Wednesdaypublished at 21:42 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March 2016

Mayhem elsewhere in the Championship with goals going in left, right and centre, but the game at the Amex plods merrily along without so much as a sniff of a goal.

Six minutes left to go plus injury time... that's enough time for at least a shot on target for the hosts, who could get themselves level on points with Middlebrough if they win after Boro's late loss to Rotherham.
