"I think this Villa team are worse than my Derby team. Not in terms of points - we amassed just 11 points and were terrible. But we weren't ready for the Premier League, we tried to sign people in January and it didn't work.

"Aston Villa are an established Premier League club. I think this is the worst Premier League side in history."

"Remember when Newcastle went down last time? They had some really good professionals suited for the Championship. But look at these Villa and Toon squads now. Are these players going to get their team straight back up?"

  5. "It was a difficult watch" - Howepublished at 18:25 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

    Bournemouth 0-4 Man City

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe felt his side caught City "on a good day" but also rued some self-destructive defending.

Howe told BBC Sport: "The first goal was probably the most disappointing one because it was from a set-play, a poor ball in really, and we have not dealt with it.

"When you give a good team an early goal it gives them a lift and it makes it very difficult.

"It was a long game from 3-0 down so credit to the players that they did not cave in but it was a difficult watch, especially early on."

Norwich City OK C: Too early to say we are winning the league next season. #NextLeicester

Luke: Spurs' run in is stuff of nightmares. If they lose today and against United next week and they are out of it.

Hugo Lloris has produced the saves to keep Spurs on level terms - but Mauricio Pochettino's side have had chances of their own, only to be wasteful in the final third with their passing and creation.

High quality game. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will need a lie down after all that shouting and jumping about. Pressing high on fourth official Mike Jones.

    Norwich 3-2 Newcastle

    Robbie Savage

"Newcastle looked organised in Rafa Benitez's first game against Leicester, but today they were all over the place. They are gone, they are going down.

"The concern would be that after equalising the first time they conceded. The same thing then happened again. Surely, at this stage of the season, you see games out."

It's El Clasico day - and you know what that means.

Barcelona against Real Madrid. The biggest game there is. When Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo continue their quest to be the best player in the world and the best in history.

La Liga leaders Barca are 10 points clear of their fierce rivals, who sit third in the table behind second-place Atletico Madrid.

Can Zinedine Zidane win his first El Clasico as a manager? Will Barcelona extend their unbeaten record to 40 matches?

Build-up on the BBC Sport website starts at 18:30 BST with full live text commentary of the game from 19:30 BST.

    Liverpool 0-0 Tottenham

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Anfield

Liverpool are doing well at pressurising Spurs high up the pitch, just the sort of thing manager Jurgen Klopp likes to see.

The problems for Liverpool come as they look equally likely to inflict wounds of themselves through uncertainty at the back. Mamadou Sakho is a mixed bag while keeper Simon Mignolet always gives Spurs encouragement with the ball at his feet.

Not been a quiet start for fourth official Mike Jones at Anfield. He will have a ringing in his ears from two verbal blasts from Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and his Spurs counterpart Mauricio Pocettino.

On the pitch there is some high-paced passing between two teams intent on attack - but still waiting for that crucial breakthrough.
