The Hammers are patient as they go on the attack. Manuel Lanzini scoops the ball over from the right and Andy Carroll tries to get his head on it, but fails.

    West Brom 0-0 West Ham

West Ham keeper Adrian, at full stretch, just about gets his finger tips onto a curling effort from West Brom's Craig Gardner from inside the box.

    Great start from the hosts.

    West Brom 0-0 West Ham

The first decent chance for West Brom.

Jonathan Leko, the 17-year-old we were talking about earlier, makes a mazy run on the right, cuts back and Craig Gardner's two efforts are blocked.

The tricky Leko is then hacked down by Aaron Cresswell and West Brom earn a free-kick about 20-yards out, but it comes to nothing.

    West Brom 0-0 West Ham

I mentioned Tony Pulis's duvet coat a minute ago. The West Brom manager is also wearing the whitest white trainers I've ever seen. Don't look straight at them on Match of the Day later, you'll go blind.

    West Brom 0-0 West Ham

West Brom were controlling the possession well, but a foul by James McClean on Manuel Lanzini gives West Ham a free-kick just past the halfway line.

It's whipped in by Dimitri Payet before being cleared by the Baggies.

There's some intense trance music blaring out the sound system at the Hawthorns. It's a bit much for a Saturday afternoon if you ask me.

The players appear out of the tunnel and line up for the obligatory hand shakes.

    We're almost ready to go.

"Having seen West Brom throw a large spanner in Tottenham's title challenge works, West Ham will know their opponents aren't in beach mode yet.

"The Hammers need the points to strengthen their hold on sixth place, which would give them a spot in the Europa League.

"Liverpool and Southampton are breathing down their neck and although seventh place might still be enough should Manchester United win the FA Cup, Slaven Bilic is understandably keen for his side to keep matters in their own hands.

"West Ham's form is by far the better of the two; they're unbeaten in nine, while West Brom are looking for a first win in seven."

West Brom v West Ham (15:00 BST)

For West Brom it's mainly pride.

Tony Pulis's side are 13th in the table - on 41 points along with Everton, Watford and Bournemouth. A win could take them up to 11th.

West Ham are battling it out for a European spot.

They're currently in sixth, three points behind Manchester United.

The permutations of the European places are explained here.

  13. Warning: this will make you feel oldpublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 30 April 2016

West Brom v West Ham (15:00 BST)

West Brom winger Jonathan Leko was born 24 April 1999. Yes, 1999. He wasn't alive when Britney Spears released Baby One More Time.

But he is two months older than AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma who is the Rossoneri's number one.

And they will both have to go someway to beat 14-year-old Zied El-Seheifi, who played for Gouna in the Egyptian Cup last year.

Who will be the first Premier League player born in the year 2000?

Actually, I don't want to think about it. It's too depressing.

West Brom make two changes from their draw with Tottenham.

Ben Foster returns in goal, while 17-year-old Jonathan Leko becomes the first player born in 1999 to start a Premier League. He replaces Stephane Sessegnon.

Who's up for a bit of West Brom v West Ham, then?

The Baggies threw a massive curve ball in the title race by snatching points off Tottenham earlier this week.

Can they halt the Hammers in their quest for a Europa League spot and end their own six-match winless run?

    Let's find out...
