  1. Nothing to do with Arsenal or West Brom but...published at 21:25 British Summer Time 21 April 2016

This is probably the best club statement ever. And I've seen plenty.

    Arsenal 2-0 West Brom

Alex Iwobi has had another decent game but he gets the last 10 minutes off. Theo Walcott is not the man to replace him though, it's Francis Coquelin.

Arsenal get Hector Bellerin in behind the massed ranks again but once again he can't either get a shot on goal or find a mate in red and white.

  6. CLOSE!published at 73 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 West Brom

What a miss! West Brom have not been in this game but they could so easily be level thanks to their prowess/Arsenal's weakness at set-pieces.

A corner comes in, Petr Cech gets lost in the crowd and Salomon Rondon has an open goal, He is stretching in, but he does put the effort behind him.

    Bad miss. Big chance.

  7. CLOSE!published at 70 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 West Brom

Arsenal turn it on again and they slice through West Brom with ease. Aaron Ramsey is into the area, he looks up to see Olivier Giroud haring into the middle but he slips a touch and ends up going closer to the top corner than his team-mate with a dinked chip of a cross/shot.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 66 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 West Brom

It should be three! Great play again on the edge of the box as Alex Iwobi finds Alexis Sanchez, bang in front of goal. He could shoot but finds Mesut Ozil on the overlap but his shot is well saved by Ben Foster.

Ozil then gets clear again seconds later but Jonas Olsson blocks it away for a corner. Arsenal just found their A-game there.

Is that not two Arsenal dives in the box gone unpunished ? 60 and 62 mins. Disgrace.

    Nick, Leicester

  10. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 64 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 West Brom

Just what referee Jon Moss wanted - a 'dive' in the penalty area. Lovely.

Arsenal sweep down the left, Mesut Ozil picks out Mohamed Elneny driving into the area, he goes between two West Brom defenders and goes down very, very easily.

Moss gives no penalty, but no booking for the Egyptian either.

Just the six touches for for West Brom in the Arsenal area. They are going to have to really step things up to get anything out of this game.

  12. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 West Brom

Is Hector Bellerin really the best right-back in the Premier League? His fellow pros voted yes and he shows his attacking class here, beating one man for pace and then building an intricate one-two with Mesut Ozil, but he is closed out at the end. Good play.

  13. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 West Brom

This could be a difficult atmosphere, or lack of one, to play in for the Arsenal players. It's a vacuum.

Alex Iwobi is refreshingly direct and when he gets the ball just runs into the box before going down rather half-heartedly. No contact from Craig Dawson I don't think...

End of season game and Thursday nights in London are when most work functions are on. Add in long London hours and no wonder it's so empty.

    Arsenal 2-0 West Brom

As it stands Arsenal will have a four-point cushion over Manchester United in fifth, and a 10-point gap to leaders Leicester, with four games to go. The title could still happen!

  16. CLOSE!published at 51 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 West Brom

West Brom definitely seem to be causing more problems since that half-time change and that's an effort on target. Craig Dawson delivers a cracking cross from the right and James McClean attacks it with a powerful header but it's easy for Petr Cech.
