Victor Wanyama goes to ground and doesn't get up for quite a while, it was a sliding challenge from Jason Puncheon that sent the Kenyan midfielder flying but it was a fair tackle.

Oooh! Virgil van Dyke's free-kick from a central position goes centimeters over the bar, it may even have grazed it - great effort from the central defender.

Jose Fonte concedes a corner, the first of the match. Jordan Mutch swings it in, Ryan Bertrand heads it away and Pape N'Diaye Souare's long-range effort from the rebound goes a long way wide.

Nearly half an hour gone, but the no shots on target stat is broken by Oriel Romeu. He drills in a low shot from distance that Julian Speroni has to flop down to his left to stop.

Ryan Bertrand delivers an excellent cross from the left, Shane Long meets it but nods the ball wide.

The game feels like it is opening up, and it's the hosts on top at the moment. Sadio Mane races through the middle to latch onto the ball just inside the area, rolling his right foot over it only to see the ball roll wide of Speroni's right-hand post again.

There's very much an end of term feel so far, a bit disjointed and lacking quality. Martina tries a cross from the right, but he gets right underneath it and scoops the ball high over Speroni's nets.
