Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini reflects on his time in charge:"During the three seasons, the fans always tell me that they enjoy our games.

"It's about a style, and for me it's important to be the highest-scoring team for three seasons, to be always in the Champions League and to win three titles."

Judging by the amount of fans who stuck around to wave Manuel Pellegrini off at the end of last week's final home game of the season at the Etihad, there aren't many who are gutted to see him leave.

However, the Chilean can hold his head up high as he departs the club. OK, so arguably his reign peaked in its first season with the title but taking the club to a first Champions League semi is not to be sniffed at.

    And how about this...

His win percentage is the best of any Premier League manager bar Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho.

If they win today, he will preserve his status as the only man to never finish below Manchester United as City boss.

You can't fault with Guidolin has done at Swansea this season - much of which he spent suffering with a nasty throat infection.

The Italian has led them to 11th place - 12 points clear of the bottom three, and they could finish in the top half with a win today.

His side have also ended the top four hopes of both Liverpool and West Ham in their past two games. They can make it a hat-trick today.

"While Manuel Pellegrini bids farewell to Manchester City with his final match in charge today, this is the start of a new chapter for Swansea head coach Francesco Guidolin.

"Having been appointed on a short-term contract in January, the Italian signed a new two-year deal earlier this week. The decision raised some eyebrows, as former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers had held talks about a possible return to the Liberty Stadium.

"But Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins is rather bullish as he writes about Guidolin’s new contract in his match programme notes.

"Jenkins says: 'The decision to allow him to continue in his role was easier than has been reported in the media over the last few weeks.

"'Despite all the negative speculation surrounding the possible change in manager, the relationship between myself and Francesco has remained first class.'"

So, today offers Manuel Pellegrini the chance to sign off as City boss on a positive note by giving his successor, Pep Guardiola, a stab at the Champions League next season.

Should he achieve it, it will at least be a positive end to what has been a pretty disappointing league campaign. Yes, the Chilean has a second League Cup and a Champions League semi-final appearance to his name, but this expensively-assembled City side should be doing far better than scrapping for fourth on the final day.

Swansea v Man City (15:00 BST)

Swansea City head coach Francesco Guidolin makes four changes from last weekend's 4-1 win at West Ham. Poland goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is rested ahead of Euro 2016, while right-back Kyle Naughton and forward Modo Barrow miss out, and midfielder Ki Sung-yueng is taking part in military service in South Korea. So in come Swedish keeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt, who makes his first league start for the Swans, right-back Angel Rangel, midfielder Leon Britton and winger Jefferson Montero.

Swansea XI: Nordfeldt; Rangel, Amat, Fernandez, Kingsley; Britton, Cork; Routledge, Fer, Montero; Ayew.

Subs: Vickers, Naughton, Fulton, Gorre, Barrow, Emnes. Gomis.

Manuel Pellegrini's final starting XI as Man City boss is the same one that began the 2-2 draw with Arsenal. Raheem Sterling remains on the bench, with Kelechi Iheanacho retaining his place in attack.

Man City XI: Hart, Sagna, Otamendi, Mangala, Clichy, Navas, Fernando, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Iheanacho, Aguero.

Subs: Caballero, Sterling, Kolarov, Demichelis, Nasri, Toure, Bony.

Probably the best thing to do is to lay out the state of play heading into this Mancunian-themed final day tussle for fourth.

Manchester City currently occupy the final Champions League spot with 65 points, a place and two points better off than fierce rivals Manchester United.

A win (and, let's face it, a draw thanks to their superior goal difference) will ensure City finish fourth. But should they lose, United can nip in and nick it with a home win over Bournemouth.

City could also steal third, but with Arsenal at home against Villa it is highly unlikely.
