After their 7-0 win over Sunderland in the FA Cup, Arsenal come crashing back down to Earth with a reality check of how tough this title race will be.

They weren't at their best tonight and came up against an organised Chelsea side who interrupted their flow and deserved the away win.

The Gunners are now three points off the top but have played a game more.

We are into three minutes of added time at the end of this Women's Super League One game.

Arsenal are running out of time in this one.

    Elsewhere tonight

A reminder that we kicked off early tonight, at 18:00 BST, as this game was moved to allow Arsenal fans to watch both their men's and women's teams tonight...

Arsene Wenger's men are now off and running, and they're 1-0 up against West Brom thanks to an early goal from Alexis Sanchez.

You can follow that match here with Tom Rostance.

Arsenal Ladies boss Pedro Martinez Losa looks very thoughtful on the touchline, as the sun sets in Hertfordshire.

His side are slipping to a second defeat in their first three league games of the season. The schedule has given them a tough start, but they won't be happy with this result.

  7. Arsenal Ladies 0-2 Chelsea Ladiespublished at 83 mins

Chelsea are heading top of the Women's Super League tonight as this rate. They've stopped Arsenal playing their passing game and, at the other end, have punished some mixed defending.

They make another subsitution with Gemma Davison being replaced by England teammate Eniola Aluko.

Game over. Fran Kirby has her second and it was a real goalmouth scramble.

From a Chelsea corner, a blocked shot bounces out off the line to Kirby. Does that hit her arm? Maybe, but it wasn't intentional. She slams in from three yards out to surely seal victory.

  9. Arsenal Ladies 0-1 Chelsea Ladiespublished at 79 mins

Fran Kirby is almost in for her second of the night but she is flagged just offside. My word, that was close. Was she level? Not quite. A nervy moment for Arsenal but they escape.

At the other end, Jordan Nobbs drives from range and forces a solid save from Hedvig Lindahl.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 77 mins

    Arsenal Ladies 0-1 Chelsea Ladies

Chelsea bring Jade Bailey on to face her old club - she replaces Karen Carney.

Meanwhile Arsenal's Jemma Rose, who was partly at fault for the Chelsea goal, comes off and is replaced by Natalia.

That's an attacking switch for Arsenal, while for Chelsea it is more of a defensive shape now, with Bailey in midfield.

  11. Arsenal Ladies 0-1 Chelsea Ladiespublished at 75 mins

Fran Kirby wins a corner for Chelsea and, when it is whipped in, Arsenal don't initially clear it, but eventually they get the ball away.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 73 mins

Sari van Veenendaal has kept Arsenal in the game in this second half. She does well again, this time to tip over Katie Chapman's half volley, which was bound for the back of the net.

We have the game's first booking. Kelly Smith gets a yellow card for a challenge on Chelsea's Ana Borges. That looks harsh. I'd say Borges simply slipped, personally.

  14. Arsenal Ladies 0-1 Chelsea Ladiespublished at 71 mins

A deep Alex Scott cross is met by Leah Williamson's well-timed jump but the unmarked Arsenal youngster heads wide of the far post.

  15. Arsenal Ladies 0-1 Chelsea Ladiespublished at 69 mins

Arsenal, I have to say, are lacking a bit of bite, a bit of urgency. Time is ticking by...

    Ji So-YunImage source, Rex Features

South Korea forward Ji So-Yun is heading off. It's been a relatively quiet night from the skllful, 2015 PFA Player of the Year Award winner.

She is replaced by Ana Borges.

From the resulting free-kick, Chelsea goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl spills her catch but Asisat Oshoala isn't quite able to capitalise.

Chelsea are relieved to see that moment pass by.

  18. Arsenal Ladies 0-1 Chelsea Ladiespublished at 59 mins

Now this is interesting. Gemma Davison fouls Arsenal's Jordan Nobbs and the referee awards a free-kick, but Nobbs stays on her feet and wants to play an advantage. She curls the ball into the back of the net...but the whistle had long gone.

Should play have been allowed to continue? Arsenal protest.

Experienced holding midfield player Katie Chapman has been very effective tonight.

The Chelsea and England star has got stuck in, breaking up the play and has really stopped Arsenal creating as much as they'd like to.

Chelsea are frustrating Arsenal. The hosts can't find their fluid passing at the moment.
