It has to be said, Sheffield Wednesday's defensive work has been superb so far. Again, they push Derby and Cyrus Christie back when they look to break into the area, before seeing Marcus Olsson's cross into the area out for a goal kick. Derby are finding this very hard.

Thankfully both of them are back on their feet. Sheffield Wednesday fans will be hoping that Forestieri can get in some more dangerous positions in the area like this from earlier in the match.

Sheffield Wednesday forward Fernando Forestieri and Derby left-back Marcus Olsson go up for a ball, but both fall to the ground after a clash of heads. That looked pretty painful and both sets of physios are on for an extended period.

Still, it gives both managers time to chat to their players about the opening period of this match.

That could have been a superb goal from Craig Bryson had it not been a fine save!

The Derby midfielder smashes a shot towards goal from outside the area, but Keiren Westwood is on hand to tip his effort over the bar.

That was seriously travelling.

Cyrus Christie wins a corner for Derby off Daniel Pudil, but Tom Ince's delivery into the area is dealt with before referee Lee Mason spots an infringement in the area.

The game is going through a stop-start period, with Mason needed to intervene on a fairly regular basis.

While it hasn't produced many clear goal-scoring opportunities, this match has certainly been absorbing, with both sides not holding back in tackles.

Sheffield Wednesday have had the lion's share of possession in the last 10 minutes, as they look to defeat the Rams for the first time since April 2006. 

Sheffield Wednesday winger Aiden McGeady has barely been involved so far, but after great work from Fernando Forestieri, crosses dangerously into the area, but the ball is easily dealt with.

However, McGeady soon tees up Barry Bannan, whose strike is only parried by Scott Carson, but Jason Shackell clears the danger before an attacker gets there.

Will Hughes is certainly making his presence felt on his return. He fells Owls forward Fernando Forestieri on the left-hand side, when his opponent was looking likely to run free towards the area.

I think I've mentioned Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood more than anyone already today, and again he's involved when he comes a long way and tries to punch Cyrus Christie's cross into the area.

However, he doesn't connect well with it and the ball falls to Marcus Olsson, but his header creeps wide of the post without any real danger.

It's Derby's turn to have a bit of pressure in their opponent's half, but after playing the ball neatly around, Marcus Olsson's cross into the area is too long for everyone and goes straight into the hands of Keiren Westwood.

It's Sheffield Wednesday's turn for a training ground set-piece routine, but the cross into the area is just too high for Fernando Forestieri and Derby clear the danger.

This match is too-ing and fro-ing like anything!

Owls goalkeeper Keiren Westwood is really not happy with his defence, and is probably right. 

Jacob Butterfield is allowed the whole of Derbyshire in the middle of the park, so takes a strike at goal which Westwood gathers.

Derby win a free-kick in a dangerous position after Sheffield Wednesday's Alex Lopez fells Marcus Olsson outside the area, and they've clearly been working on some sort of routine.

Jacob Butterfield plays it into Chris Martin, who tries to find a sprinting Tom Ince, but can't get the ball through the Owls defence, so instead snatches a shot over the bar.

Nice little move from Sheffield Wednesday as midfielder Barry Bannan plays a great ball out to rampaging left-back Daniel Pudil, but his cross cannot find Gary Hooper in the area.

First action of the match as Derby right-back Cyrus Christie sends in a cross which Owls captain Glenn Loovens snatches at, but it loops into Keiren Westwood's hands.

Then Chris Martin gets a little bit of room on the edge of the area, but his low shot is tame and easily gathered by Westwood.

Tense start in Derbyshire, with both sides struggling to connect passes early on.

But the fans are certainly in fine voice - the drum has barely stopped beating so far.

Derby get the game under way at the iPro Stadium.

As a side note, Derby midfielder Will Hughes couldn't hide his smile as he stood on the pitch before kick-off. It's been quite a long lay off for him.

The players are out, and the St George flags are flying high at the iPro Stadium to celebrate St George's Day.

Aiden McGeady comes in for Ross Wallace, who is suspended after picking up a red card in that game.
