Aberdeen's title challenge has fizzled out with three defeats in their last four league outings but they remain a formidable force at home, having lost just once at Pittodrie all season. 

Motherwell are the Premiership's form side with seven wins in nine games rocketing them away from relegation worries into fourth place. 

Mark McGhee, represented the Dons with distinction as a player and with calamity as manager. But it seems to click for him in the Fir Park dugout and he has not lost against his former team since returning to the Steelmen, drawing at Pittodrie in October and coming from behind to gather maximum points at Fir Park last month.

If you're a Hearts fan, look away now. The home defence make a dog's dinner of clearing their lines and the predatory Patrick Roberts is on hand to profit like an opportunist Dickensian pick-pocket, drawing Neil Alexander before dinking the ball home.

It's Celtic's turn to try the aerial route as Mikael Lustig sends a looping header onto the roof of the net. You'd fancy a few more goals in this one. It remains 1-1 with about 25 minutes remaining.

Celtic need to better Aberdeen's result today to clinch the Premiership title. 

Handbags at Tynecastle as Colin Kazim-Richards clashes with Juwon Oshaniwa. The latter writhes about the Tynecastle turf clutching his head after appearing to catch a boot on the back of his head and the Celtic goalscorer earns a booking from referee Alan Muir.

How will Celtic react to conceding the equaliser? Leigh Griffiths shows dancing feet wide on the left before seeing his low cross blocked. The game is bubbling away nicely now and Dauda's impressive run and finish has woken up the Hearts fans. 

It's been coming. Hearts are rewarded for an impressive start to the second half as substitute Abiola Dauda latches onto a Jamie Walker pass to take advantage of the parting of the Red Sea in Celtic's defence before angling a shot back across Craig Gordon and into the far corner of the net.

A cracking finish. Game on!

Robbie Neilson must have delivered a verbal rocket in the home dressing room at the break because Hearts have come roaring out of the traps since then. Craig Gordon makes a save then flaps unconvincingly at a cross and, suddenly, Hearts have a spring in their step. 

The hosts continue to press for an equaliser as Sviatchenko deals with a couple of aerial bombardments into the Celtic penalty area. The home fans find their collective voice in the midst of a purple patch at the start of the second half.

Much more like it from the hosts. Djoum, encouraged by back-tracking Celtic defenders, surges forward and fizzes in a low, wicked shot which Craig Gordon does brilliantly to tip away for a corner.

Robbie Neilson has shuffled his Hearts pack for the second half: Paterson and Dauda are on for Augustyn and Cowie.

"It's about getting more width into the game," says BBC Sportsound pundit Michael Stewart.

The Hearts keeper has prevented the visitors from extending their lead with some cracking saves; Hearts have threatened through Jamie Walker but have lacked creativity in the final third.

We're into a minute of added time at the end of an entertaining first half at Tynecastle.

Hearts see an attack fizzle out and Celtic launch the ball forward as Leigh Griffiths, with a superb first touch, heads for goal. Seeing the whites of Neil Alexander's eyes, the striker tries to flick the ball home but Alexander saves brilliantly with his legs and the ball squirts past the post for a corner. 

That could and perhaps should have been 2-0 but the impressive Alexander comes to Hearts' rescue once again. Will that save have a bearing on this game?
