"Southampton looked neat and tidy at Old Trafford last Friday - and had more possession than Manchester United - but after losing both Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle over the summer they lack a cutting edge in attack at the moment.
"David Moyes says he was simply being realistic when warning Sunderland fans to expect their almost traditional relegation battle once again this season and based on their performance against Middlesbrough you can perhaps see why.
"This is a month most of us enjoy, but going on recent years it's one Sunderland have been keen to see the back of, as they've gone 16 matches without a Premier League win in August."

Sunderland goalkeeper Vito Mannone will be out for at least three months and could require an operation after tearing elbow ligaments.
The 28-year-old Italian, who joined the Black Cats from Arsenal in 2013, was injured during a training session.
Manager David Moyes said he would "definitely" look to make a signing as Jordan Pickford, 22, is his only fit senior goalkeeper.
Moyes added the club had made a bid for Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra, and the newspapers are reporting this morning that Manchester City's Joe Hart could be on his way to the North East.

It was Southampton's biggest Premier League victory and was all started off by Sunderland defender Santiago Vergini's incredible own goal from the edge of the area.
