  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

    Leicester 1-0 Burnley

Not much separated these two sides until Leicester's new £29m striker kickstarted his own party. Islam Slimani has marked his Premier League debut with a bullet header. Ian Marshall would have been proud of that one.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

    West Brom 3-0 West Ham

Nacer Chadli has had a hand in all three West Brom goals, scoring the first before setting up Salomon Rondon and then James McClean. West Ham were on the end of an impressive comeback from Watford last weekend, it's going to take even more from Slaven Bilic's side to get something from this game.

    Hull City 0-1 Arsenal

Predictably it's been mostly Arsenal since Jake Livermore's sending off, but Hull City get some brief reprieve as left back Andrew Robertson breaks into the penalty area and wins a corner. Nothing comes of it though, and the Gunners go straight back on the attack.

    Islam Slimani

"£29m?! For who?" For Islam Slimani, that's who.

Leicester's record signing shows why the Foxes splashed out the big bucks with a thumping header.

The Algeria striker sneaks inbetween Burnley centre-halves Ben Mee and Michael Keane to meet Christian Fuchs' inswinging free-kick from the left.

  5. EFL latestpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

Mixed emotions for Reading midfielder Garath McCleary, who has followed up his earlier goal at Barnsley by getting himself sent off for clashing with Conor Hourihane at Oakwell.

Jaap Stam's Royals lead 2-0 but must play almost an hour with 10 men.

Bad news for Norwich fans, too, I'm afraid. Wes Hoolahan had a penalty saved for the Canaries, and within a couple of minutes Apostolos Vellios has put Nottingham Forest in front.

    James McClean

Pack the kit bag, start up the team bus. This game is as good as over for visitors West Ham. The Baggies fans are boing boing-ing around The Hawthorns is sheer disbelief.

James McClean adds their third, sticking out a toe to divert in Nacer Chadli's shot after West Ham fail to clear a corner.

Albion fans wanted more exciting football from Tony Pulis. Is this more like it?

  7. RED CARD - Hull City (Jake Livermore)published at 15:41 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

Yep - it was a straight red card for Jake Livermore after his handball. All of which could result in a very long afternoon for the Tigers....

  8. PENALTY SAVED - Arsenalpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

    Hull City 0-1 Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez steps up after Jake Livermore is dismissed for a handball, but the Chilean sees his effort saved by Eldin Jakupovic low to his right-hand side.

  9. Attacking from all anglespublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

    Man City 2-0 Bournemouth

Manchester City action areasImage source, Opta

Manchester City have threats from all angles, as the graphic above shows.

Nolito, Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling are all offering options for the current Premier League leaders - not to mention Kelechi Iheanacho up front, of course.

And Sterling - revitalised under Sgt Pep - almost makes it three. City pick open Bournemouth with the ease of a seasoned thief undoing a cheap lock. But the England international curls straight at Artur Boruc from a narrow angle.

    Man City 2-0 Bournemouth

New City keeper Claudio Bravo was less than convincing in the Manchester derby last weekend - and he gets away with another one here.

The former Barca man doesn't deal with a long ball, allowing Josh King to pick his pocket on the right-hand side of the area and pull back towards Junior Stanislas.

Luckily for him, Bacary Sagna rides to the rescue. The Blues full-back charges across to head away and stop Stanislas from thumping into an empty net.

    Salomon Rondon (37 mins)

Nacer Chadli, having scored the first from the spot, slips a smart pass in to Salomon Rondon in the area. The Venezuelan swivels in the box and fires an effort through James Collins' legs and into the bottom corner.

    Hull City 0-1 Arsenal

Hull's full-backs are providing the outlet for the hosts in the first-half, in particular Ahmed Elmohamady. He's got into crossing positions on several occasions but the right back is yet to produce a telling delivery.

Hull keep the ball alive from one such over-hit cross and it falls to Robert Snodgrass on his left foot, but it's a tame effort gathered easily by Petr Cech.

Oh my word - Newcastle are losing. It's not happened too often in recent weeks. They're behind to Chancel Mbemba's own goal against Wolves.

Meanwhile, some strange goings-on in League One at Swindon, who were awarded a goal against Bury before the referee changed his mind and gave a goal kick. Bury lead 1-0 there.

    Leicester 0-0 Burnley

Little to get the Leicester - or Burnley - fans excited at the King Power Stadium. Not that it is stopping the Foxes fans making a racket with those plastic happy-clappy things they love.

Oh hang on... Foxes new signing Islam Slimani slides through to Danny Drinkwater who is denied by on-rushing Burnley keeper Tom Heaton. No idea what Drinkwater was doing up there but it nearly worked.

    West Brom 1-0 West Ham

Glimpse of an opportunity for West Brom as Salomon Rondon out-muscles James Collins in the West Ham box from a Jonny Evans cross. Hammers keeper Adrian fumbles as the ball bounces around inside the area, but gathers at the second attempt.

    Hull City 0-1 Arsenal

Well, Arsenal are slicing through Hull at will right now. Alex Iwobi fires one on target but it's pushed away by goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic into the path of Mesut Ozil. You'd fancy the Germany international in space and inside the area, but he scoops over Jakupovic's crossbar.
