53 mins: Claudio Yacob stops a Stoke break with a blatant foul to concede a clear yellow card.

52 mins: Desperate defending from Glenn Whelan in the box denies James McClean getting a chance to shoot.

49 mins: Marko Arnautovic crosses to Joe Allen, but the midfielder's header takes a crucial deflection off the raised foot of Craig Dawson to go just over the bar. Stoke have started the second half brightly.

47 mins: A lovely pass across the pitch from Xherdan Shaqiri releases Erik Pieters down the left-hand side. Pieters' teasing cross is spilled by Ben Foster but Mark Arnautovic has run past the West Brom keeper as he collects at the second time of asking.

46 mins: We're under way again, with no substitutions as yet.

Stoke's Wilfried Bony (number 12, on the left) is back in the pack looking at these average position graphics from the first half. Salomon Rondon (9 on the right hand side) is playing as more of a target man, while Claudio Yacob (5) is almost making West Brom's defence into a back five.

Martin Atkinson brings a quiet 45 minutes to a close. Aside from Craig Dawson's brilliant clearance from off his line to deny Glen Johnson, there has been very little to get excited about.

44 mins: Xherdan Shaqiri loops a corner over onto the head of Ryan Shawcross, but the Stoke defender gets underneath it and sees the ball balloon over the bar.

42 mins: Albion probe away and Salomon Rondon has a half-chance, spinning round on the edge of the box but shooting high and wide.

40 mins: Erik Pieters chooses to nod a bouncing cross behind to concede a corner to West Brom. James McClean whips it from the right, but lee Grant claims it confidently. Stoke have looked much better at set-pieces this week than in previous outings.

37 mins: West Brom win a corner  that Matt Phillips fires in, but Geoff Cameron concedes another straight away. Phillips takes it short, gets the ball back and shoots but it goes straight at Ryan Shawcross, and Stoke clear with ease.

36 mins: Nacer Chadli's foot is so high that he catches Joe Allen on the back of the head. Martin Atkinson puts the West Brom midfielder into his book without much delay.

35 mins: Wilfried Bony has a ghost of a chance on the edge of the area, but West Brom's defence closes around him and the ball rolls nicely to Ben Foster in the Baggies goal.

33 mins: Matty Phillips works his way free from the right flank and whips in a low cross, but Lee Grant does well to claim the deflected effort in front of James McClean.

Just 10 touches for Wilfried Bony in the first 30 minutes, and he's having to roam the pitch to get involved.

30 mins: Stoke are pressing upfield much more than earlier, but failing to make the most of their possession. West Brom look fairly comfortable and are soaking it up.

27 mins: Stoke are looking a lot more confident, but Wilfried Bony is often isolated up front although a lovely lay-off to Marko Arnautovic shows the striker is on his mettle.

25 mins: Ryan Shawcross leads with his shoulder on Gareth McAuley and goes into the book.

24 mins: Glen Johnson links up with Wilfried Bony and then chips the ball goalwards. It looks to be looping in but Craig Dawson gets back to head it away from just under the crossbar to deny Johnson what would have been his first goal for Stoke.
