Ross County are approaching a fully-fit squad ahead of the game against Kilmarnock, though they will be without Richard Foster who has joined St Johnstone. Defender Marcus Fraser is closing in on a return following a shoulder injury. County manager Jim McIntyre has reported no fresh injuries.

Rangers have an unchanged squad available for their Premiership game against Motherwell at Ibrox. Jason Holt (ankle) is out but is due back in training soon, while Martyn Waghorn (hamstring) will rejoin his team-mates on Monday. Josh Windass (hamstring) and Matt Crooks (ankle) are close to returns but will not be ready to face the Steelmen.

Steven Hammell should feature for Motherwell after returning to training following a calf strain. But midfielder Carl McHugh remains out with concussion and Louis Moult is still recovering from groin surgery. Jacob Blyth and James McFadden are likely to be on the bench as they build up fitness following injuries.

Hearts midfielder Jamie Walker will complete his two-match ban. But Gorgie boss Robbie Neilson is still waiting to see if Fifa will clear his move for striker Bjorn Johnsen following his arrival from Bulgarian outfit Litex Lovech. Striker Juanma will also not be involved against Caley Thistle after being given permission to fly to Belgium for talks with Waasland-Beveren.

Josh Meekings is in line to replace the injured Kevin McNaughton in the Inverness central defence. McNaughton's season could be over after he underwent surgery on a ruptured Achilles this week, while Meekings has recovered from the knee injury that has kept him out all season and came through a practice match on Tuesday night. On-loan Hearts winger Billy King has to sit out the game against his parent club.

As for Partick Thistle, manager Alan Archibald hopes to have goalkeeper Tomas Cerny and defender Liam Lindsay available. Both players have trained this week after missing the Betfred Cup defeat at Dundee United with a foot knock and a dead leg respectively and although back-up keeper Ryan Scully picked up a knock on Tayside he should be fit. 

Stuart Bannigan (knee), Christie Elliott (groin) and Gary Fraser (knee) remain on the sidelines along with long-term injury victim Mustapha Dumbuya (Achilles).

Uefa has opened disciplinary proceedings against Celtic for "illicit banners" being displayed by their fans during Wednesday's Champions League play-off home leg against the Israeli side Hapoel Beer Sheva.

The organisation's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body will deal with the case on 22 September.

Uefa must now have quite a hefty file on the indiscretions of some Celtic supporters.

St Johnstone pair Chris Millar and Tam Scobbie have both been ruled out of Saturday's home game against Celtic. Midfielder Millar has a groin tear and faces a short-term lay-off while Scobbie will be missing for three to four weeks with a knee injury. Ally Gilchrist (groin), Dave Mackay (hip), Michael Coulson (thigh) and Keith Watson (thigh) are also still out but the latter two are due to return to training next week. Saints completed the signing of Richard Foster from Ross County earlier today.

Winger Patrick Roberts is back in contention for Celtic, returning from a hamstring injury quicker than expected, while new signing Dorus de Vries has trained this week after recovering from an ankle complaint. Defender Jozo Simunovic continues his recovery from a knee problem.

"From the Scotland fans' point of view Brown says he believes it's a disappointing decision as 'we are bit short of experienced players - players who played at the highest European level to the standard that Scott has'.

"He added the decision will also be disappointing to Brown's fellow international players and that it will be a 'blow' to Gordon Strachan."

St Johnstone have signed the former Aberdeen and Rangers full-back until the end of the season.

The former Aberdeen and Rangers full-back was part of the side that beat Hibernian in the League Cup final to deliver County's first major trophy.

No fee was involved in the transfer for the 31-year-old, with Foster becoming Saints' fifth new arrival this summer.

He follows midfielders Paul Paton, Blair Alston and Michael Coulson, and fellow defender Keith Watson in joining the Perth outfit, who have finished fourth for the past two seasons.

"I am really happy to have made the move," Foster told BBC Scotland. "St Johnstone is a club that every club outside the top four look at as what they want to be.

"With Rangers out of the top division they've been in the top four and consistently in the top six. They've also won the Scottish Cup recently so it was an easy decision to make."

"Lee Clark has added two more loan signings from English football to his Kilmarnock squad - and both could make their debuts against Ross County in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday. 

"The Kilmarnock boss hopes to complete paperwork on a six-month loan deal for English midfielder Charlee Adams from Birmingham City. 

"And fellow 21-year old Luke Hendrie, a right-back who has previously been called up to the Scotland Under-21 squad after playing youth football for England, has arrived from Burnley. 

"The son of Scottish-born former Bradford City and Middlesbrough forward John Hendrie ended last season on loan to Jackie McNamara's York City. 

"Hendrie becomes the second arrival from the English Premiership newcomers, following the loan signing of midfielder George Green last week."
