Last time out Arsenal left it late at Burnley, Laurent Koscielny netting in injury time with what looked like a handball.

Swansea did what Swansea do of late, they lost 2-1 at home to Liverpool and have now not won a league game since the opening day. Ouch.

The players rush out on the pitch as a flag sporting the Arsenal cannon motif is passed around fans behind one goal.

The Arsenal mascot Gunnersaurus is on the pitch making a right nuisance of himself. Someone get him off. Get him off!

Look at these faces. They carry the hope only a new manager can bring.  What will they be like in 90 minutes?

The players are in the tunnel. Remember, Michael Laudrup, Garry Monk and Francesco Guidolin all enjoyed wins at the Emirates.

  5. Every yearpublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 15 October 2016

    Arsenal v Swansea (15:00 BST)

Every year. Every year without fail the early throws of the season will deliver complaints from Arsenal fans that they are set up to fail again. Football pundits line the streets of north London to talk of forthcoming failure.

Every year. Every year Arsenal threaten to defy everyone. Take this one, they sit third, have won five games in a row and have conceded once in those games.

Every year. Every year they fall short. The season draws to a close and then we all sit back and wait for the cycle to start over.

Any different this time? Prove us all wrong, Arsene.

As one banner from the top tier at Emirates Stadium carries an image of Arsene Wenger along with the slogan "football should be art", I am about to put the boot in slightly...

Why not watch a bit of what Bob Bradley had to say by just clicking play in this live page. He says he has "great friends", deals with pressure through using his "routines" and he's a big music fan it seems.

In truth, all Arsene Wenger will care about is three points and extending a fine run of form. He has seen landmarks and anniversaries too many times now.

The sun is beating down on corners of the Emirates as players warm up. Swansea are just about to jog into the changing room for a final few words from Bob Bradley.

Alexis Sanchez is smiling. Jet lag? What jet lag?

  10. Congrats Arsene...published at 14:42 British Summer Time 15 October 2016

    Arsenal v Swansea (15:00 BST)

It is wrong of us to give all this attention to one of the managers. Arsene Wenger, this is your day too.

Why? Because 20 years ago on Wednesday just past, the Gunners played their first game under the Frenchman, a win over Blackburn Rovers.

What a remarkable feat, 20 years in one job. This is football remember.

Wenger's image is on the front of the match programme today. Strangely, it's not one of those wonderful images of him wrestling with his zip.

  11. Swansea's predicament...published at 14:39 British Summer Time 15 October 2016

    Arsenal v Swansea (15:00 BST)

Looking at the table, it's not like Swansea can take their time in settling in to Bob Bradley's methods.

They have won just two of nine matches this season and one of those was in the League Cup.  Their only league win of the campaign coincided with their only clean sheet, a 1-0 win at Burnley on the opening day.

Their form maybe looks worse than it is though given they have played Manchester City, Leiceser and Liverpool in recent weeks. Arsenal away should be easy then?

The big question for Arsenal was would Alexis Sanchez start after flying around 15,000 miles to represent Chile in two matches during international week? Question answered.

Petr Cech makes his 50th Arsenal appearance.

Arsenal XI: Cech; Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal; Xhaka, Cazorla; Walcott, Ozil, Iwobi; Sanchez

Bob Bradley makes three changes to the Swansea side which lost to Liverpool. Neil Taylor, a player who lost his temper when taken off by ex-boss Francesco Guidolin, makes just his third start of the season. Elsewhere, Modou Barrow and Federico Fernandez come in.

Lukasz Fabianski starts in goal against his former employers.

Swansea XI: Fabianski; Naughton, Fernandez, Amat, Taylor; Cork, Britton, Fer; Barrow, Sigurdsson, Routledge

To much fanfare of the fact the Premier League has its first American manager, Bob Bradley replied during his first Swansea news conference: "I'm not an American manager, I'm a football manager. There's not one person in Swansea who could care less about America."

I can confirm he is an American manager. Having grown up in the south Wales valleys, I can also confirm that he's right and that people in Swansea probably don't give two hoots about America.

That said, one of their own in Catherine Zeta-Jones spends time in both Swansea and the US. So maybe we can say at least one person gives a hoot for these two very different lands.

Enjoy yourself, Bob. Get yourself down to the ice cream shops on the sea front.

Man, I'm so pumped to be here.

You guys are sweeter than candy.

Let me just go to the trunk of my pick-up and get some of those soccer balls.

It's weekend football in the Premier League. Now let me hear you say... USA, USA, USA.
