    Bournemouth 1-0 Hull

Jordon Ibe picks up the ball from about 40 yards from goal and runs towards the Hull area, slipping a pass into Callum Wilson. The striker is forced wide but his low effort draws a save, albeit somewhat comfortable, from keeper David Marshall.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 15 October 2016

    Bournemouth 1-0 Hull

Good, patient build-up from the hosts before a foul on Adam Smith lands Sam Clucas in the book - looked like frustration more than anything from the Hull midfielder as he catches the full-back late.

  3. Postpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 15 October 2016

    Bournemouth 1-0 Hull

Hull are yet to string an attacking move together with any intent and after Robert Snodgrass' pass to Ryan Mason is cut out it gives Bournemouth a chance to hit the visitors on the break.

Jack Wilshere looks for a lofted diagonal pass into the path of Callum Wilson, but the striker is deemed to have fouled Curtis Davies.

  4. Postpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 15 October 2016

    Bournemouth 1-0 Hull

Neat interchange play again from the Cherries, with Jack Wilshere, Jordon Ibe and Callum Wilson looking to link up on the edge of the Hull area via a series of quick passes. The move breaks down as Wilson is dispossessed.

  5. Postpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 15 October 2016

    Bournemouth 1-0 Hull

Already signs of very different approaches from the sides at the Vitality Stadium. Bournemouth are content to play a shorter game and keep hold of the ball, while the visitors are getting it wide to the full-backs and looking for deep crosses into the box.

  16. 'Hull need something special'published at 14:38 British Summer Time 15 October 2016

    Bournemouth v Hull (15:00 BST)

Mike Phelan won the manager of the month award for August as Hull City started the season with two victories and now, quite rightly, he has been confirmed in the job.

Hull haven't won in the Premier League since August, but their past three matches were against Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Now they have a run of fixtures against teams of a similar stature, starting with Bournemouth, who have recorded 1-0 victories in their past two home matches.

The Cherries are in good form, with just one defeat in their past five, and it may take something special from Hull to give Phelan extra reason for celebration.

Bournemouth remain unchanged for their home fixture against Hull City, with boss Eddie Howe naming the same side that faced Everton and Watford in their previous two outings.

Mike Phelan makes four changes to the Hull City side beaten by Chelsea last time out, as Ahmed Elmohamady returns from suspension and Shaun Maloney, Will Keane and Harry Maguire make the starting XI.

As the Premier League's finest jetted off for international duty last week, Hull City made sure those players returning to training before this weekend's fixture would do so under the guidance of a full-time boss.

Yes, contract negotiations have dragged on via a manager of the month award and through a five-game winless streak, but Mike Phelan's immediate future at the KCOM Stadium has finally been resolved.

Will that prove decisive to the travelling Tigers today? Eddie Howe's Bournemouth will be hoping to play the party poopers as they too look to bounce back to winning ways after a draw at Watford last time out.

This will also be the first time the teams have met in the Premier League, making it the 819th different fixture in the competition's 24-year history.
