"But they have been shocked by the rivalries and the apparent hatred from certain fans. 

At 15:00, Hamilton take on St Johnstone at New Douglas Park and the hosts will want to get off the foot of table pronto.

Partick Thistle manager Alan Archibald says his players cannot afford to feel sorry for themselves after conceding a late goal to drop more points against Motherwell.

He felt his side did enough to win the game but says the striker Ade Azeez, who missed three clear chances, needs to find his shooting boots because he's judged on goals.

Motherwell manager Mark McGhee believes his side deserved to earn a point with Scott McDonald's late goal against Partick Thistle.

He admits the visitors were not at their best, but believes it is a measure of their progress that they took a point from a game they would have lost last season.

Hearts boss Robbie Neilson says it was a disappointing result but he felt the first 60-70 minutes performance was great. He says they are creating loads of chances but not taking them and that's the problem at the moment.

County's Jim McIntyre was pleased with the point and said they had Scott Fox to thank for his performance particularly in the first half keeping Hearts out. But he credited his players for the work they put in especially after they went down to 10 men near the end when Ian McShane was sent off.

Dundee manager Paul Hartley talking to BBC Scotland:

"It was a poor performance. The goals we lost were poor on our part.

"As a team, we've got to be better, show more desire. I didn't think we offered enough in terms of the final third.

"As a team, we didn't play well. There's not many players with pass marks today."

"We're going in the right direction. I thought we were ruthless in front of goal today. That's what we've been looking for.

"Good results breed confidence. We're climbing that table, looking up now. We've been through our bad patch. We didn't let it affect us.

"We were mentally strong and now we're starting to look good but I still believe there's a lot more to come from us."

Manchester City will be in Glasgow on Wednesday for their Champions League game with Celtic. 

Pep Guardiola's side were 3-1 winners at Swansea today, joining Forfar Athletic as the only British sides with 100% league records.

Thomas O'Brien was on target as the Loons picked up an away win at nearest challengers Clyde.

Killie manager Lee Clark talking to BBC Radio Scotland:

"They blew us away in the second half. It was men against boys in every aspect. We came up against a class act. It's a shame because Coulibaly's goal will be forgotten about now. He's scored some unbelievable goals since he's come up."

Celtic gaffer Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Radio Scotland that goalkeeper Dorus de Vries went off at half time with a chest strain.

"We'll see how he goes tomorrow," he replies when asked if the Dutchman will be fit to face Manchester City on Wednesday. "If not, we have a very able deputy in Craig Gordon."

Queen of South remain unbeaten in the league and sit proudly at the top of the second tier after a drab draw at home to Hibs, who had Lewis Stevenson sent off early in the second half.

Falkirk, Raith Rovers and Dundee United all made up ground with wins.

The Jags nudge off the bottom of the table, overtaking Hamilton, who play St Johnstone tomorrow, on goal difference. The home side will be furious since they were on top for long spells and spurned good chances to add to Chris Erskine's opening goal. That profligacy was punished on 83 minutes when Scott McDonald nodded in.

Caley Thistle are building some nice momentum now, taking their unbeaten run to four games and leapfrogging Dundee in the process.

For the second week running, the Staggies stubbornly hold on for a goalless draw. The visitors had Ian McShane sent off late on but Hearts had run out of ideas long before then.

Motherwell are threatening to win this. Ryan Bowman gets his head to a cross and Ryan Scully makes a great save to deny him. Alan Archibald is not going to be a happy man at full-time at how his side have thrown away the three points.

Did Kilmarnock make a mistake by grabbing the opening goal? Souleymane Coulibaly's stunning finish certainly provoked a reaction, with Moussa Dembele replying with two rapid-fire strikes. James Forrest, Leigh Griffiths, Scott Sinclair and Tom Rogic were also on target.

A nice way to warm up for Manchester City in the Champions League...

Falkirk look to have made the points safe with Lee Miller knocking in the Bairns second goal on 90 minutes.

It's still 0-0 in the top of the table battle between Queen of the South and 10-man Hibs at Palmerston.
