  2. Wright delight with Saints away formpublished at 17:47 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

FT: Ross County 0-2 St Johnstone

“Really satisfied with the performance. I thought first-half was as good as we’ve been this year. We were excellent and fully deserved to be 1-0 up. We finished the game of with a great goal.

"It’s a great start to the league for us, away from home as well. We went to Partick and won, went to Motherwell and won, had a good point at Hamilton, now we’ve come up here and got three points. It’s an excellent return from those away games.”

St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright on BBC Radio Scotland

  3. 'We got what we deserved'published at 17:39 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

FT: Ross County 0-2 St Johnstone

“It was a disappointing day all round with the injuries and the result. I felt St Johnstone today won more individual than we did, picked up more second balls and were just slightly cuter than us on the day.

"We got what we deserved today and we’ve just got to take it on the chin and learn from it.”

Ross County manager Jim McIntyre on BBC Radio Scotland

  4. Foran hails 'never-say-die' attitudepublished at 17:34 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    FT: Hamilton 1-1 Inverness CT

"Yes (we were good value for the point) in terms of chances created. I thought we had the better chances, their keeper pulled off one or two decent saves, we had one cleared off the line so on chances alone I think we deserved a point. On overall play, I thought they were the better team.

"We've scored a couple of late goals now so I always thought one was going to drop for us. I still believed in them boys and it's a great finish by Liam Polworth.

"The spirit was great today. That never-say-die attitude, never giving up, going right to the final whistle was what got us the point today. I'm delighted with the lads."

Inverness CT manager Richie Foran on BBC Radio Scotland

  5. 'We need to do better and see games out'published at 17:32 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    FT: Hamilton 1-1 Inverness CT

"For the seventh out of the eight games, I think, we've gone ahead - we've only managed to see it out once and win one game.

"It's not enough, we know that, we need to do better, to see games out. I thought again we did enough to win the game. But obviously we got hit again in injury time, which was disappointing.

"We didn't lose the goal because tactically we were unaware or were undone. Sometimes all you can say is maybe Lady Luck isn't on our side at the minute."

Hamilton manager Martin Canning on BBC Radio Scotland

  6. A 'sparkling' Dons displaypublished at 17:26 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    FT: Kilmarnock 0-4 Aberdeen

"It was a great away performance. We were dominant in both boxes and scored some great goals. Some of our play was sparkling.

"(on the penalty) I don't think my player committed a foul. I thought the keeper had it, then he didn't, then he pulls James down. Whether or not he can score from that position is up for a debate.

"But it's wrong to dwell on the penalty when we scored three goals afterwards."

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes on BBC Radio Scotland

  9. 'We folded like a pack of cards'published at 17:20 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    FT: Kilmarnock 0-4 Aberdeen

“In my opinion it isn’t (a penalty) but we can’t change the referee’s mind. We had to just move on and we didn’t.

"In the second-half we folded like a pack of cards. For the second week in a row it’s been men against boys.

"It’s been a tough week for us and a real wake up call to be honest. It’s a terrible way to go into the international break. Long time to stew on it.”

Kilmarnock manager Lee Clark on BBC Radio Scotland

  10. Johnston no-show averts protestpublished at 17:14 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    FT: Kilmarnock 0-4 Aberdeen

    John Barnes
    BBC Scotland at Rugby Park

The reason there was a lack of protest from the Killie fans towards director Michael Johnston was because he did not turn up at the game.

He was missing from his seat in the directors box and although there was a chant of "Johnston must go" six minutes into the game from Killie supporters.

When they noticed Johnston was absent they thought they would just turn their attention to supporting the team. Johnston did attend the club's board meeting on Friday.
