City started very well, Iheanacho should have scored.

Man United have come into the game and got in City's faces more but in both boxes we have seen little creativity.

City move the ball well but in general play there is not enough movement.

They are static and giving the ball away very easily.

John Pierce: How bad is Shaw to be toasted by Navas three times?

This is the most dangerous I can remember seeing Jesus Navas in, well, a long, long time. That's at least three times he's beaten Luke Shaw and got a cross in.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic slips in midfield and duffs a pass away. This is not a great match. Let's be honest.

The concern for Mourinho will be how easily Jesus Navas is getting around the outside of Luke Shaw and putting crosses in.

    Pogba has looked very sluggish.

He has been slow and laboured and it is very easy for Manchester City to get around him and take the ball off him.

The game is warming up! Possibly. A quick pass forwards frees Kelechi Iheanacho who breaks into the area, he gets a shot away and it's well blocked by Marco Rojo.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic with a gem of a pass now, outside of the boot to send Marcus Rashford in behind the City defence, the England man cuts inside and overdoes it really, he can't get a shot away and it's blocked.

There's an atmosphere, there's been excitement. It's been a pacy game and the quality is there. West Ham showed intent and intensity and then Chelsea became more patient after the goal. It's been an enthralling first half. Chelsea have a lot to do.

The last 10 or 15 minutes Manchester United have been the better side.

Better! Manchester United attack down the left, Luke Shaw lays it back to Paul Pogba, the ball gets away from him but Zlatan Ibrahimovic is able to get a shot in which deflects up and over for a corner.

A howler from Joe Hart has gifted Inter Milan the lead against Torino. The England keeper seemed to have an easy job of holding onto a through-ball but parried it off Mauro Icardi to score the opener.

Inter have lost their last three Serie A game.

In Spain, Gianni Zuiverloon, once of West Brom and Ipswich, scored an own goal to give Real Madrid the lead against Cultural Leonesa in the Spanish Cup. And Marco Asensio has made it 2-0.

And Julian Green has doubled Bayern Munich's lead against Augsburg.

Vincent Kompany tries to find his right-back but lashes his pass well out of play instead. That sums up the game so far.

I don't think Paul Pogba imagined he would be playing in the EFL Cup and Europa League at this stage of the season. He's not doing a lot out there, but not many are.

Everyone has been saying Pogba has been playing too deep but he has got the role at number 10 tonight and can't get in the game.
