  3. The magic of the Cuppublished at 19:03 British Summer Time 17 October 2016

FA Cup first round proper draw

Westfields secretary and chief executive, Andrew Morris, founded the club after being inspired by England winning the 1966 World Cup and called the win over Leiston a "magical experience".

"This belongs to the magic of the Cup," 66-year-old Morris told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"It's unbelievable, I've seen scenes today that I never dreamt we would see. To win today, to get to the first round, is amazing.

"When we started I'd have been happy to have a good run in the Hereford Senior Cup."

FA Cup first round proper draw

Westfields - the place in Hereford and not the shopping centre - are the lowest ranked team still left in the competition.

The ninth tier side have been through each of the six rounds so far and beat Leiston 2-1 at home on Saturday to go into the first-round proper draw for the first time.

Richard Greaves scored the winner for Midland League Premier Division side, who were formed in 1966 on the back of England's World Cup triumph.

They were watched by a crowd of 760, which is almost five times Westfields' average home attendance of 160.

In money terms, their run has netted them £30,925 in prize money so far.
