Ander Herrera has just been caught...

...well, let's just say somewhere very painful.

It comes via Salomon Rondon's right boot.

Herrera checks everything is still intact before hobbling away.

Loser92: Dawson did his level best to get Ibrahimovic punished there, by going down as though he had been knocked out.

Matthew Gibson: How that isn't a red card is absolutely beyond me

Gavin Richmond:, external How on earth is that not a red card?! Is Vardy's tackle worse than Zlatan's forearm smash?!

For someone so prolific in the air, he should really be doing better here.

Matt Phillips gets on his skates down the left before putting a cross into the box towards Salomon Rondon.

The West Brom striker, who scored a hat-trick of headers against Swansea in midweek, gets in between Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo but cannot find the target this time.

A let off for the visitors.

Not usually known for his decisiveness but West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster is very positive on this occasion, charging off his line to grab the ball away from the feet of Wayne Rooney who was bearing in on goal.

Chris Brunt tries his luck from outside the area as the ball comes to him invitingly, but his low shot is straight at Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.

The stats show of the 22 players on the pitch, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has had the least number of touches with eight...

...yet one of those counts as the most important one as Manchester United lead.

Ibrahimovic had no intention of heading that ball.

    That was absolutely outrageous.

Tony Pulis will have a lot to say about that.

Smash. This tackle would not have gone unpunished in rugby either.

A long ball is splayed forward, which Zlatan Ibrahimovic has to chase.

West Brom defender Craig Dawson gets to it first, before Ibrahimovic comes hurtling in to shoulder barge him on to the turf.

Naughty and Ibra is rightly booked.

Ohhh so close to the second.

Manchester United are working the ball around beautifully and skipper Wayne Rooney curls an effort towards the top corner, but West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster flies to his right to push the ball onto the crossbar.

Cute play from Ander Herrera, whose backheeled pass is into the path of goalscorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the big Swede is pulled up for a foul.

The Spaniard's 22 passes (95% completion) is more than any other player on the pitch.

He does a great job for Manchester United.

    Could have been worse, this.

United goalkeeper David de Gea's kick out is poor and straight to former team-mate Darren Fletcher, but West Brom are unable to keep control of the ball and take advantage.

It was in a good position, so a little more composure and they could have made something of it.

Tell you what, West Brom have not got their heads down here. They conceded early but it does not seem to have rattled them.

A teasing ball played forward almost causes confusion as David de Gea sprints to the edge of the box, but Marcos Rojo does the right thing and punts the ball away.

The home side earn their first corner...

    ...and almost level.

Chris Brunt curls in a sumptuous delivery which is flicked on by defender Jonas Olsson at the front post, but it goes inches wide at the back stick.

David de Gea was rooted to the spot.

Manchester United ahead and in control at the moment, spraying the ball around at will.

But West Brom will take heart from knowing their opponents have failed to kill games off this season.

Almost another, that could have been two in quick succession for Manchester United but Wayne Rooney's goalbound header at the back post is blocked by Claudio Yacob.

The West Brom midfielder knew little about it.

That was poor play from West Brom.

Nyom let Lingard get a run on him and he put a perfect cross in

It was criminal. It is the worst thing in the game when you let people run off you.
