My word. These goals are just raining down now.

Apostolos Vellios with his sixth goal of the season. Now, that was not a pretty finish by any definition, but his touch from point-blank range was enough to loop the ball beyond Adam Davies.

The ball in came from Danny Fox, as Conor Hourihane was given the slip out wide.

    Barnsley 2-1 Nottingham Forest

Barnsley are coming in waves at Nottingham Forest's defence, both on the left and right flanks.

Adam Hammill is bright down the left and on the right, well take your pick as James Bree is urging the hosts forward and Adam Armstrong is always lurking.

And relax. A few minutes have now passed after that burst of goals.

Barnsley, however, still look incredibly dangerous as Nottingham Forest defender Damien Perquis is beaten by Barnsley's Adam Armstrong deep in the box, but the ball runs dead.

    Saaaaaaayyyy what!

Moments - and I mean moments - after Nottingham Forest level, Marley Watkins puts Barnsley ahead.

Some terrible ball watching by Forest defenders allows Watkins time to control a chipped ball over the top from Conor Hourihane and beat Vladimir Stojkovic from close range.

By the way, the count between goals was 1 minute 13 seconds.

  5. goal

Low, hard and on target. Henri Lansbury levels for Nottingham Forest from a free-kick.

    Barnsley 1-0 Nottingham Forest

Adam Jackson sends a looped header over the bar for Barnsley from a dangerous free-kick into the box.

That came after Ben Osborn had a big coming together with the shins of Adam Hammill.

    Barnsley 1-0 Nottingham Forest

Ex-Barnsley striker Derek Parker on BBC Radio Sheffield and BBC Radio 5 live sports extra: "What a great move that was down the right hand side and what a ball it was from James Bree. Brilliant work by the young full-back."

Ex-Nottingham Forest full-back Brian Laws on BBC Radio Nottingham: "A dreadful start."

    Barnsley 1-0 Nottingham Forest

The home fans are in great voice right now. And so they should be, that was their first goal in three games having played out goalless draws in the past two.

These are, however, two prolific sides this season. So we may have some exciting moments to look forward to.

Yep, seriously that goal came moments after I said nothing of note was happening.

In a flash, play breaks down the right for Barnsley and Sam Winnall gets on the end of a delightful James Bree cross to head home. Fine nodded finish, that.

At a steady pace we go them.

Nothing of note to report in these early minutes. Let's call it shadow boxing.

    Barnsley 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Right. So that is 17 seconds gone.

No goals. I guess it was too much to expect after last week.

    And here we go.

Nottingham Forest get the match under way.

Strap in, because Forest came up with a goal after just 17 seconds last week...

It took 20 games, but Nottingham Forest finally managed to keep a clean sheet under French boss Philippe Montanier.

Teenager defender Joe Worrall (pictured) has come in for plenty of praise as well, having made his first-team debut less than a month ago.

Other Forest fact ahead of this on:

    • Forest have not kept a league clean sheet at Oakwell in any of their last 13 trips there (20 goals conceded) since a 2-0 win in August 1952.
    • No team has dropped more points from leading positions than Forest in the Championship this season (17).

Adam Davies has been a busy man for Barnsley this season. Those 68 saves have come from 17 league games. The past two of which were clean sheets in goalless draws against Burton and Wigan.

    More on the Tykes' form:

    • No team is waiting longer currently for a home win in the Championship than the Tykes (6 games, D3 L3). Barnsley won their opening three at Oakwell this season.
    • Barnsley have won five of their last eight home league games against Forest (D2 L1), winning most recently in March 2014.

Britt Assombalonga is out injured for Nottingham Forest as Reds boss Phillipe Montanier makes three changes to the side that beat Ipswich Town last week.

Daniel Pinillos is back on the injury list with a knee problem, having made his return after 11 months out last week, which Eric Lichaj is also sidelined (calf).

In come Apostolos Vellios, Michael Mancienne and Daniel Fox, while Nicklas Bendtner is included in the squad for the first time in more than a month.

Nottingham Forest: Stojkovic; Mills, Perquis, Worrall; Mancienne, Kasami, Lansbury (c), Lam, Fox; Osborn; Vellios.

Substitutes: Henderson, Bendtner, Carayol, Lica, Vaughan, Grant, Cash.

    Quote Message

Britt is the talisman of this team...he's one of, if not the best, strikers in the division, to miss him is obviously key.
