    Your earliest football starts...

Callum Davies: 8am start for Ruthin away, lost 10-1 too but scored a penalty so worth it.

Ashley: I have to get the 6am train every time I go to a home game.

Nathan Jones: Living in Melbourne, every time I manage to see Liverpool or Wales. Sunday kick-offs are off the menu. Have done 2/3am plenty of times.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 10 mins

    Real Madrid 0-0 Leganes

Marcelo threatens to burst clear in the Leganes half but his heels are clipped by Darwin Machis. It's a yellow card all day. No complaints there from the man in green.

  3. Straight forward win?published at 8 mins

    Real Madrid 0-0 Leganes

On paper, this should be a straight forward win for Real. But they said that about the midweek Champions League trip to Poland, where the 32-time La Liga winners almost came unstuck against Legia Warsaw.

Leganes have won three of their opening 10 top-flight games - all away from home - while they also held neighbours Atletico Madrid to a goalless draw. However, they arrive at the Bernabeu one point above the relegation zone after three successive defeats.

    Real Madrid 0-0 Leganes

Early start and Real's players are still rubbing the sleep out of their eyes.

The opening exchanges are punctured by a catalogue of sloppy passes from both sides. Neither keeper has been tested in the opening five minutes.

    Real Madrid 0-0 Leganes

It was tipping it down in Spain's capital on Saturday but the sun is out for the first La Liga derby between these clubs.

Leganes, who usually play in blue and white, are all in green while Real are in their familiar all white strip.

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 1 min

    Real Madrid 0-0 Leganes

Pasta at 9 o'clock in the morning? You can be sure Real Madrid's players will have embarked on some serious refuelling at the breakfast table in preparation for this early start. The high noon (local time) kick-off is under way. The question is: are Zinedine Zidane's side hungry for three points?

    Late night?

Early starts and football don't usually mix. Fortunately the fans of Leganes have only had to travel a few kilometres to get to the Bernabeu.

Still, with kick-off times getting earlier and earlier, it has got BBC Sport's Euro football desk thinking.

What's the earliest you have had to get up to make it to a game? Where did you travel from and where was it to? What time did it start and was it worth the effort? Did you arrive late?

What a time to be a Leganes fan.

The club is situated in a town of 185,000, 11 kilometres south of the capital. It is home to one of the largest shopping centres in Europe and one of the town's most popular attractions is a street named after heavy metal kings AC/DC. The town and its surrounding areas is also famous for growing cucumbers.

As recently as 2013-14 they were playing in Spain's third tier. Now they are in La Liga for the first time rubbing shoulders with Real, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

Who said there are no fairy tales in football?

Zinedine Zidane reacts to Real's stuttering midweek Champions League draw away to Legia Warsaw by making two changes to his starting line up.

In come defender Marcelo and midfielder Isco for Fabio Coentrao and Karim Benzema, who is ruled out with a knock.

Gareth Bale starts his first game at the Bernabeu since signing a lucrative new contract.

It's not only the Premier League that does early starts. La Liga also loves to indulge in a spot of high noon (local time) showdowns and this time it is the turn of Real Madrid to kick-off what could be a significant day in the race for the La Liga title.

Zinedine Zidane's leaders, seeking to become champions of Spain for the first time since 2012, start two points clear of nearest rivals Barcelona, who are away to third-placed Sevilla later (19:45 GMT).

Beat newly promoted neighbours Leganes at the Bernabeu and Real will have a five-point cushion at the summit - for a few hours at least.

It's fair to say the boy from Cardiff has done good.

But can Gareth Bale do it in a pre-lunch Madrid derby?
