And with that, I shall make my exit. Thank you for your company. And thank you, thank you, thank you, for your song related puns. I enjoyed every single one of them. As Robbie Williams should have said at the end of No Regrets, I guess this text commentary is officially... dead.

    La Liga

Here's how the table stands. Barcelona have reduced the gap between themselves and Real Madrid to two points going into the international break. Villarreal are up to third after beating Real Betis 2-0 in the 17:30 GMT game. Sevilla sit above Atletico Madrid because teams level on points in La Liga are separated by head-to-head record.

That was a cracking game. Barcelona were rocking in the first half, and could have been more than one goal behind before Lionel Messi's equaliser, just before the interval, gave them a life raft to cling to.

In the second half, Barcelona played much more aggressively, and perhaps Sevilla ran out of steam. Luis Suarez ended up with a winning goal, and could have had a couple more.

Television replays suggest that Umtiti had his arm wrapped around Correa's, in a way not normally seen outside a Morris dancing class. The defender got away with it, though, and Barcelona have secured a much-needed win.

Joaquin Correa, on as a late substitute, hurtles into the penalty area, seeking to save the game for Sevilla, he tumbles under Samuel Umtiti's challenge inside the area... referee tells him to get to his feet. Nothing given.

Barcelona centre-back Javier Mascherano goes into the book for a foul. It's a Sevilla free-kick, tossed in towards Vicente Iborra, but Barca's defence, which has been much better in the second half than the first, deals with the threat.

Three minutes of stoppage time to play. It's a shame this game has to end; it's been enthralling.

On the subject of bootless players, I seem to remember Paul Gascoigne scoring with his stockinged foot for Tottenham against Arsenal in a league game in 1988. Any others?

Luis Suarez, meanwhile, is booked after getting fed up with Daniel Carrico dragging him around by the shirt, and making his feelings known too strongly for the referee's liking.

That is Denis Suarez's last contribution; he is off, and Rafinha is on for the final four minutes.

Anyway, Messi is back with us now, and has two boots again. Barcelona have a free-kick, as Daniel Carrico picks up a booking for tripping Luis Suarez. Messi, who probably could have taken it in his socks, chips towards Denis Suarez, who cannot connect cleanly, and the danger passes.

Have Sevilla anything left? Lionel Messi, on the burst, loses a boot as his heel is clipped by the chasing Steven N'Zonzi, who gets a yellow card. Messi stays seated for some time, even after treatment, and then confusion reigns. The referee orders the Argentine must go to the touchline to put his boot back on, and as the dispute rumbles on, eventually shows a yellow card to Messi too. What a palaver.

Ten minutes left. Barcelona are having more of the ball and more of the chances now. But there might still be a twist in this yet.

Samir Nasri's race is run. The on-loan Manchester City midfielder, who has played well on his return from injury, leaves the field, to be replaced by Vicente Iborra, who scored the winner in this fixture last season, but had a penalty saved by Claudio Bravo when they met at the Nou Camp in the Spanish Super Cup in August.

The pace of this game, still, is incredible. Barcelona attack again. Lionel Messi, down the right, slides a perfect ball to Luis Suarez, but goalkeeper Sergio Rico, doing the old 'dive any which way just to make yourself a big target' trick, gets something on the ball, and deflects it away. Suarez could have had a hat-trick in this second half. Still time, yet.

It could have been 1-3, but it could as easily have been 2-2. Marc-Andre ter Stegen, in Barcelona's goal, comes for a corner he has no hope of reaching, and Steven N'Zonzi climbs to head wide. Let off for Ter Stegen.

Oh, so nearly a second goal for Luis Suarez, which would surely have put the game to bed. The forward takes on Neymar's finely judged pass and rounds the goalkeeper. The angle is tight, but this is Suarez we're talking about... but no! It's just too tight, and the ball rolls across goal. Suarez then sees that Lionel Messi was in position for a tap-in if he could have cut the ball back. The Uruguay striker's grimace hardens.

Ganso and Neymar started out as team-mates in their native Brazil with Santos - and line up on opposing sides in La Liga for the first time tonight. Ganso has a reputation as a classy playmaker, whose early career was affected by a run of bad injuries, but who has worked hard to quash criticism over a perceived lack of mobility. He used to call Neymar his little brother when they were team-mates, and the two remain good friends. "Ganso is a great person," Neymar said this week. Will they still be pals if the playmaker drags Sevilla back into this?

Sevilla need to find their pace again. Mariano charges forward, and is tripped in full flight by Lucas Digne, who is booked.

On the bench, Luis Enrique appears to be fiddling with an iPad. Perhaps he's Googling song titles.

A change for Sevilla. Franco Vazquez is off, and Ganso is on. Now let me tell you a little bit about Ganso...

    Luis Suarez

Barcelona have hit their stride in this second half. A moment ago, Lionel Messi turned brilliantly to escape five Sevilla players and create space on the edge of the penalty area. It looks set for a wonderful Messi goal, but he lifts his shot over.

Instead, he gets an assist, running at the home defenders and sliding a pass right for Luis Suarez, who is left feree to slot beneath Sergio Rico. Eight La Liga goals for the season for Suarez, and Barca have come from a goal down to lead.
