Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp: "I was not in doubt about the result. I just tried to fix a few things like using space better. It was an intense game for us and a deserved win at the end.

"The excitement is in the detail and that means you have to celebrate before you score a goal and push the team on if possible. It worked out. It is important the crowd know about the importance of their support.

"It [Philippe Coutinho's injury] is an ankle injury but we can't say anymore until we see a scan. Firmino got a knock on the calf as well. That should not be that serious.

"There is a lot to analyse. This was the most defensive team I ever saw in my life. Sunderland always play a defensive style and that is OK. We forced them to be that. It is the most difficult thing in world football to come through but we stayed concentrated, worked for the moment and found a way."

Swansea midfielder Leroy Fer: “We deserved it but we made it hard for ourselves.

“The gaffer spoke about it before the game - they are strong in set pieces attacking but we are strong as well.

“We got four goals - or five goals - from set pieces.

“Three points is massive for us and we have to keep going.”

  3. 'Positives to take'published at 17:06 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2016

    Hull 1-1 West Brom

Hull captain Michael Dawson speaking to BBC Sport:

"There are positives to take - we had an awful lot of possession but it's disappointing to concede from a set piece like that - we will have to look at that in training.

"When you are 1-0 down you have got to take the game to them and I think we did.

"It's nice to score - I haven't scored three in a season in a while - but taking the three points would have been better".

Oh. My. Word. Chaos. Utter chaos. Goodness knows how, but Swansea look to have won this game. Federico Fernandez knocks back Gylfi Sigurdsson's free-kick and there is Fernando Llorente again to finish. This stadium may be about to head into orbit.

You are kidding me?! More twists and turns than a twisty, turny thing. After Fernando Llorente's header is saved by the feet of Wayne Hennessey, the striker is there to flick home Gylfi Sigurdsson's effort from range. Madness at the Liberty Stadium. Utter madness.
