Leicester might be in the hat for the knockout stages of the Champions League but they do not look a happy bunch on the Premier League stage.

Middlesbrough are full value for their lead. Neat build up play and sharp passing from the visitors.

The away side have had most of the play but it is Swansea who produce a really good opportunity as a Mo Barrow pull-back from the right picks out Gylfi Sigurdsson, who finds space in the box but not the power to take his finish past Palace keeper Wayne Hennessey.

  15. 'Response was down to our spirit'published at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2016

    Burnley 1-2 Man City

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, speaking to BT Sport: "It was quite hard, physical game but we responded really well and are happy with the three points.

His City team-mate Fernandinho added: "We expected a tough match. We analysed Burnley and saw they play long balls and go for second balls, and they scored like that.

"But we responded very well. That is down to our spirit. Any team who wants to be champions has to win games like this."

    Liverpool v Sunderland (15:00 GMT)

    Guy Mowbray

With Sunderland on the up, this isn't the foregone conclusion it might have been a few weeks ago, and Jurgen Klopp was right this week to point out that the Black Cats have been 'unlucky in a lot of moments'.

That trend even continued during their win against Hull, with Paddy McNair injured and subsequently ruled out for the rest of the season.

Liverpool's boss was also right to re-focus minds on the game,, external at a time dominated by reaction to Steven Gerrard's retirement announcement.

One or two home eyes being even slightly off the ball might be Sunderland's best bet of an unlikely third successive win. That - and Jermain Defoe.

    Leicester v Middlesbrough (15:00 GMT)

    Simon Brotherton
    Match of the Day commentator

With mission accomplished in the Champions League ahead of schedule, it's time for Leicester to concentrate on improving their surprisingly poor league position.

Claudio Ranieri said he 'expected difficulties (this season), but not so strong', with his team losing half of their league games so far.

The Foxes' 12-point haul is just less than half the total they had at this stage last season.

Meanwhile, a fourth consecutive away draw might be the best Boro can hope for as the Premier League's joint lowest scorers try to get past a defence that has only been breached four times in the league at home all season.

Hull City v West Brom (15:00 GMT)

    Alistair Mann
    MOTD commentator

"There seems a great similarity between this and Hull's last home match, when they faced Southampton at the beginning of the month.

"That day, the hosts, despite reeling from a run of six straight defeats, managed to see off their confident visitors for their first league win since August, thanks to a combination of admirable stoicism and no little good fortune.

"Now, having lost heavily at fellow strugglers Sunderland, Hull face West Brom, who have just matched their biggest ever Premier League win.

"With the odds again seemingly stacked against them, Hull will perhaps require a similarly stoic display as that necessary to beat the Saints.

"After all, the Baggies won't be short on self-belief, mindful that a two-goal victory would elevate them up to sixth in the table above Manchester United."

Swansea v Crystal Palace (15:00 GMT)

    John Roder
    Match of the Day commentator

This is not the most glamorous fixture in the Premier League this weekend, but it may just be the most important.

Two struggling sides under intense scrutiny, both desperate to halt poor runs of form.

It's the start of a crucial period for the Swans, who face four of the five teams currently just above them before the end of the year.

As has been well documented, Palace have had an awful 2016 in the league - the worst record in the top four English divisions.

By the time these teams meet again in early January, both will be hoping to be in a stronger position - starting with a positive result this weekend.
