Forest bring more support for Niklas Bendtner up front. Apostolos Vellios comes on, replacing Mustapha Carayol.

  2. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Derby 2-0 Nottingham Forest

How will Forest get back in this now? It's difficult to see them doing so. Derby are two to the good and well on top.

And of course, the Reds are also without two of their best attacking players in Henri Lansbury and Britt Assombalonga.

Mountains to climb for the visitors.

  3. 'Baird take a bow'published at 56 mins

    Derby 2-0 Nottingham Forest

    Craig Ramage
Former Derby midfielder on BBC Radio Derby

"What a ball from Chris Baird, take a bow Chris Baird. The ball does it for me, it was defence splitting that had Michael Mancienne off balance to start with.

"Brilliant play for that goal. Now Derby can really rub their noses in it."

    GOAL (Ince)published at 55 mins

    Derby 2-0 Nottingham Forest

A brilliant, brilliant goal by Derby.

A glorious ball inside the full-back by Chris Baird and Tom Ince does the rest, dancing one way and then the other and coolly finishing past Dimitar Stojkovic.

  5. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Derby 1-0 Nottingham Forest

It's almost another own goal by Nicklas Bendtner. The first own goal was unlucky. This would have been a pearler. The striker knocks the ball against his own bar from a couple of yards with his shoulder from a free-kick.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 50 mins

    Derby 1-0 Nottingham Forest

A great surging run by Jacob Butterfield only comes to an end when Thomas Lam pulls back the Derby midfielder. The caution was inevitable.

"It is a flat stat to the half, even for Derby. It like it is a friendly."

Eric Lichaj wins a free-kick for Forest. But Ben Osborn's delivery from the left is comfortably dealt with.

We are up and running again at Pride Park.

Forest seemingly have it all to day. The Rams have yet to concede a goal at home under Steve McClaren.

A reminder that this is what is up for grabs today, the Brian Clough Trophy.

As it stands, Derby have one hand on the prize.

This is the moment that has made the difference in the first half. The scrunched-up face of Nicklas Bendtner had just sent the ball careering goalwards for Derby's goal.

  13. 'Forest very much still in it'published at 12:53 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2016

    HT: Derby 1-0 Nottingham Forest

    Craig Ramage
Former Derby midfielder on BBC Radio Derby

"It has been a real cagey affair.

"We can say that we are a little fortunate to be 1-0 up. Forest are in this as much as Derby are, they have threatened and Matty Cash had a good chance at the end there to put them level.

"Both sides have huffed and puffed, what Derby need to do now is look to exploit Forest a bit more, break and break at pace."

Seems that everyone agrees, it's close and still up for grabs!

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 12:50 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2016

    Derby 1-0 Nottingham Forest

Derby end the half on the attack and have just about edged things.

Cagey to start with but much more interesting after the Rams took the lead. It's set up nicely for the second half.

  15. Postpublished at 45+3 mins

    Derby 1-0 Nottingham Forest

A decent low save by Derby keeper Scott Carson to deny Matty Cash.

The Forest man's effort is by far the best chance the visitors have had.

Three minutes of injury time being played.

  17. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Derby 1-0 Nottingham Forest

The goal seems to have teed thing up nicely for the second half.

Forest won't agree of course but Derby don't look the sort of side who want - or maybe can - comfortably defend a slender lead and Forest have already seemed much more dangerous since going behind.

  18. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Derby 1-0 Nottingham Forest

A Tom Ince corner ends up with Bradley Johnson acrobatically shooting over following an Alex Pearce header. The Derby midfielder never really looked in full control.

  19. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Derby 1-0 Nottingham Forest

Ben Osborn momentarily finds a pocket of space 30 yards from goal but is crowded out. The Forest man scored a scorcher in this fixture not that long ago.

Pajtim Kasami then has a tame shot easily saved. Forest showing as an attacking force at last.

Kasami's effort was their first on target.

Pride Park is now bouncing after a fairly quiet opening to the match. Quiet for an East Midlands derby anyway.

Derby are on top and pressing for a second.
