John Kennedy will delay becoming a head coach until he has learned more from Celtic's "ideal manager" Brendan Rodgers.
"You always learn from everyone, when I have been on my travels, doing club visits, speaking with managers and working with different people," said the 33-year-old former defender, who was kept on the coaching staff when Rodgers replaced Ronny Deila.
"You take different things from different people but in terms of the rounded manager, the ideal manager, so far, from the ones I have come across, he is it. He has the full package. You get some managers who are very skilled in man management, you get some managers who tend to be more coaches - Brendan ticks all the boxes.
"I didn't know where I was going to be (in the summer) but Brendan gave me a great opportunity and I couldn't pass up the chance to work with a man of his calibre.
"It would have been easy for me to go out and rush into something but I just feel that having the opportunity to work with a top-class coach and manager will prepare me even better for when the times comes for me to go and make that step. When that is... we will see."

Former Aberdeen hero Dean Windass has been made bankrupt over a £150,000 tax debt.
A judge made the bankruptcy order against the 47-year-old at a hearing in London following an application from HM Revenue and Customs.
Windass played for the Dons between 1995–1998, scoring 31 goals in 92 appearances.

Higgins won 4-1 after McManus had taken the opening frame.

The Dundee Telegraph is reporting that East Fife are to make Barry Smith their new manager, external later today.
Now, the 'Tele' may just have an inside scoop since the former Dundee and Alloa boss has been working as a sports writer for them since September.
The 42-year-old was last with English non-league side Aldershot Town but decided against renewing his contract at the end of last season.
League One East Fife need a new boss after Gary Naysmith left to join Queen of the South.

BBC Sport ScotlandHamilton Accies manager Martin Canning is braced for the departure of star player Ali Crawford but hopes it won't come before the end of the season.
Crawford has scored seven of his side's 18 league goals this term, including three goals in his last four matches.
"He is such an important player for us," Canning told BBC Scotland.
But the manager acknowledges he could lose the midfielder in the January transfer window "if the right thing comes up for Ali and for the club".
