    Garth Crooks
Former Spurs striker on Final Score

In my day you had to score 20 top-flight goals to get an England call-up. These days all you have to do is break into the first team at a Premier League club.

That's not right, there has to be a right of passage.

Thousands and thousands of empty seats at Selhurst Park. Big Sam is rarely a fan of the FA Cup, especially when he's fighting the drop. And apathy seems to be in the air.

So then, Liverpool have already bitten the dust on fourth-round Saturday.

With six more top-flight teams in action between now and tea-time, how many more will we delete from our FA Cup wallchart?

Nice touch at Tottenham. The Spurs players are warming up in t-shirts saying 'Get well soon Ryan' as tribute to their former team-mate Ryan Mason, who now plays for Hull and fractured his skull in a clash of heads with Chelsea's Gary Cahill last week.

  6. Why Palace have rotatedpublished at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2017

Crystal Palace v Man City (15:00 GMT)

Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce has been explaining why he has made six changes to his side to face Manchester City. Basically, it's something to do with them being away at Bournemouth on Tuesday and Palace fighting for their Premier League lives.

"Rotation of the squad today is in operation and I am hoping the players in action will give me some challenges for future team selections," said Allardyce.

"You always get a shock in the FA Cup and people would see us winning this as one but we also have a big week coming up in the Premier League."

  8. 'Lincoln is a great football city'published at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2017

Lincoln City v Brighton (15:00 GMT)

    Garth Crooks
Former Spurs striker on Final Score

It's a great football city Lincoln, and they'll fancy this.

It's a really tricky tie for Brighton, they won't want to be embarrassed and non-league players are designed to embarrass professional players - that's what they're there for in the FA Cup.

Middlesbrough v Accrington Stanley (15:00 GMT)

    • Middlesbrough's only previous match against Accrington Stanley saw them dumped out of the League Cup in August 2013, losing 2-1.

It's rare. It's great for a club like Lincoln to reach this stage - a bit of revenue for them and a day out for the families.

But you have to be real. If you go out thinking about what's coming if you win, then when you lose that disappointment can be taken into the league.

Lincoln City v Brighton and Hove Albion (15:00 GMT)

    • Lincoln have only been beyond Round 4 once, losing to Glasgow Rangers in 1886-87.

Now that is an interesting nugget isn't it? Turns out that Scottish teams were involved in the FA Cup between 1872 and 1887, and then again from 1983 to 2003 when Gretna took part.

Rangers got to the semis after beating Lincoln in fact.

  17. Kompany & Jesus start for Citypublished at 14:21 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2017

Crystal Palace v Man City (15:00 GMT)

Six changes for Crystal Palace with winger Andros Townsend, who has been linked with a move away, among those returning to the team. Striker Christian Benteke is one of the five survivors from the side that lost 1-0 at home to Everton last week.

Crystal Palace XI: Hennessey, Ward, Kelly, Tomkins, Schlupp, Flamini, Ledley, Mutch, Townsend, Lee, Benteke. Subs: Perntreou, Fryers, Delaney, McArthur, Kaikai, Cabaye, Remy.

Pep Guardiola makes five changes to the Manchester City team that started the 2-2 draw with Tottenham last week, with teenage forward Gabriel Jesus making his first start for the club. Captain Vincent Kompany also returns for the first time in two months after injury, with keeper Willy Caballero, defender Bacary Sagna and midfielder Fabian Delph also returning. Sergio Aguero does not feature.

Man City XI: Caballero, Sagna, Kompany, Kolarov, Clichy, Toure, Delph, Silva, Sterling, Sane, Jesus. Subs: Bravo, Zabaleta, Fernando, Nolito, De Bruyne, Stones, Navas.

Blackburn Rovers v Blackpool (15:00 GMT)

    • This will be the third time Blackburn and Blackpool will have faced each other in the FA Cup, with Rovers winning the previous two ties in 1924/25 and 1959/60 (both fourth round).
    • Blackpool have gone six away FA Cup games without a clean sheet.
