    Manchester United

Jose Mourinho makes six changes to his side perhaps with one eye on the EFL Cup final this Sunday.

Notably though Zlatan Ibrahimovic steps in for Marcus Rashford, Eric Bailly is in the heart of defence for Marcos Rojo, while Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini also get starts.

Given their 3-0 lead and the fact they can win silverware this weekend, it's a solid United side with a strong bench featuring David De Gea and Anthony Martial to name just two.

Man Utd XI: Romero, Young, Bailly, Smalling, Blind, Carrick, Pogba, Fellaini, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Ibrahimovic.

Saint-Etienne: Ruffier, Perrin, Theophile Catherine, Pogba, Malcuit, Pajot, Veretout, Monnet-Paquet, Saivet, Beric, Hamouma.

As mentioned by Simon Stone, it is looking like a case of when not if Wayne Rooney leaves Manchester United. China seems the most likely destination, but then he could stay and fight for his place.

    So today's talking point is:

If you were Wayne Rooney, what would you do and why?

There is a clear sense now that time is ticking down on Wayne Rooney's Manchester United career.

Rooney is known to be coveted by the Chinese Super League, who would offer vast sums to get the England captain to join Carlos Tevez and Oscar in the exodus east, but twice over the past few days I have been told such a move before the 28 February deadline is unlikely. The summer window in China runs from 19 June to 14 July.

However, the end is in sight and Rooney's camp will doubtless spend the next few months exploring options.

Rooney has the carrot of knowing if he can remain in the England fold until next year's World Cup, he is likely to become his country's most-capped player, in addition to its record goalscorer.

Four years after it seemed to be happening under Sir Alex Ferguson, it now seems a question of when, not if, Rooney leaves Old Trafford for good.

The build-up to the match has been somewhat overshadowed by the increasingly-deafening sound of suitcases slamming shut and lockers being cleared out.

Reports suggest Manchester United's record goalscorer Wayne Rooney could be heading to the Far East before the transfer window in China shuts next Tuesday.

Eyewatering figures of between £750k-a-week to £1m-A-WEEK have been bandied about.

Manager Jose Mourinho said: "Of course I can't guarantee [he will be here]. I can't guarantee that I'm here next week, how can I guarantee that a player is here next season?"
