    West Brom 2-1 Bournemouth

West Brom switch off for once as Bournemouth work it from right to left through the midfield to find Marc Pugh in space, but his shot is into the side netting.

    West Brom 2-1 Bournemouth

Lovely build up again from Bournemouth - they've had 70% of possession so far - as Arter curls in a ball towards King, who can't quite bring it down.

But it's at the other end that the Cherries look woeful - this time Morrison running in behind the defence, with no one going with him. Fortunately for the visitors Brunt's ball over the top wins the race.

  3. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 35 mins

An appeal at the other end now as Rondon feels he was fouled by Tyrone Mings but on replay it's a great last-ditch tackle by the Bournemouth centre-back.

Clattenburg is explaining that to Rondon, who is having none of it. Definitely not a penalty - but more desperate defending from Bournemouth.

  4. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 33 mins

    West Brom 2-1 Bournemouth

Bournemouth want another penalty, this time for handball against Dawson - it does connect with the defender's arm as he's sliding to block Pugh but a spot-kick would've been harsh.

The Cherries again fail to test the Baggies from the corner.

Better from Wilshere as he picks up Fraser's pass on the turn in midfield and breaks into the box, before meeting the imposing presence of McAuley, who blocks his effort.

Bournemouth fail to make the most of the corner and then suffer the indignity of Mark Clattenburg intercepting a pass unknowingly to hand possession back to the Baggies.

Clattz looks livid with himself: "I could've been in Riyadh instead of West Bromwich today" perhaps.

    West Brom 2-1 Bournemouth

Bournemouth need something before half-time here or West Brom will continue to grow in confidence.

Ryan Fraser looks the most likely outlet but his cross is blocked and cleared as West Brom come forward again.

Nothing doing though as Boruc collects.

    West Brom 2-1 Bournemouth

That was a very strange moment between Rondon and Cook that will probably merit closer inspection on Match of the Day.

Meanwhile, another corner for West Brom and Boruc scrabbles on the ground to finally claim the loose ball.

Bournemouth look petrified of defending set pieces.

Which is music to Pulis' ears no doubt.

It's a horror show there! Boruc decides he needs to punch it when it's so close to his head. Why didn't he just catch it? It would be easier to just catch it!

I can't understand why a keeper would even attempt to do that!

    West Brom 2-1 Bournemouth

It is somewhat remarkable that Artur Boruc is still a Premier League goalkeeper...this time he is so slow to come out and clear a loose pass as Rondon bears down on goal.

Steve Cook then comes across and barges Rondon to the ground but Clattenburg doesn't deem it a foul after consulting his linesman.

Very, very lucky for the Cherries. West Brom utterly bemused that wasn't a foul and perhaps a red card for Cook.

  10. McAuley toasts 500published at 21 mins

    West Brom 2-1 Bournemouth

You just can't keep Gareth McAuley out of the goals it seems but he'll rarely ever have an easier finish.

Artur Boruc flaps woefully at the corner - he was slightly blocked off but he ends up having no idea the ball is behind him as McAuley strikes into an empty net.

A nice way to mark his 500th appearance in English football.

Sloppy from Bournemouth as they give the ball away to Rondon before Steve Cook gets in a terrific block.

The danger is not over yet though as James Morrison picks up the loose ball but his shot is deflected wide for a corner...

    West Brom 1-1 Bournemouth

Nice work from King down the left but he can't quite find Wilshere running through the middle as Nyom gets across to clear.

Bournemouth controlling the game at a more measured pace now.

  14. Postpublished at 16 mins

    West Brom 1-1 Bournemouth

After a thrilling opening, things have settled down slightly at The Hawthorns.

Apart from Tony Pulis, who is barking orders from the touchline.

    West Brom 1-1 Bournemouth

West Brom or Barcelona? Chadli cuts in to find Brunt in the box who cuts in but then plays a brilliant back heel into Darren Fletcher's path, with the former Man Utd man winning a corner.

Bournemouth are able to clear though from the set piece.

So West Brom didn't score in the sixth minute again - instead doing it in the ninth, having already conceded. Phew.

    Craig Dawson

A quite remarkable first 10 minutes at The Hawthorns is capped with a second goal.

This time it's Craig Dawson sneaking up from right-back to collect Nacer Chadli's square pass in buckets of space.

Dawson's strike takes a huge looping deflection off Charlie Daniels and gives Artur Boruc no chance.

A collector's item that - Dawson's seventh Baggies goal in six and a half years at the club.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 8 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Bournemouth

Now it's Adam Smith cutting in from the right and forcing Ben Foster to make a lovely save to tip it over.

Smith's shot may have just been creeping over but Foster wasn't to known. Nothing doing from the resulting corner though.

I want to flag up the fact Joshua King took that with just a two step run-up. Smart. Just takes it properly. Bang.
