  • Kante scores only goal in dominant win for Blues

  • Herrera was sent off for two bookings - both for fouls on Hazard

  • Semi-final draw: Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal v Manchester City

Chelsea v Manchester United (19:45 GMT)

    Alan Shearer
    Ex-England striker on BBC One

    This should be a cracker.

Chelsea are the best team in the Premier League by a mile and they have the league already sewn up in my opinion. A league and cup double in Conte's first season would be an incredible achievement.

United have some way to go to get where they want to be, but with Mourinho they have a chance.

  2. 'Jones will look after Hazard'published at 19:33 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2017

Chelsea v Manchester United (19:45 GMT)

    Phil Neville
Former Manchester United defender on BBC One

I think United will go with a back four and Phil Jones will go into midfield to look after Eden Hazard.

Paul Pogba will have a free role to go wherever he wants. You can't play a game like this without a centre-forward so it's a massive boost for them to have Marcus Rashford.

So what is that Manchester United line-up all about? Jose Mourinho won't tell BBC interviewer Dan Walker. The Portuguese boss is at his cagey best in the pre-match interview:

"I can't explain," he says when asked about his formation. "Just keep speaking in the studio, keep entertaining the people at home. See the game and after a couple of minutes you will understand."

"Will Phil Jones play in midfield?" asks our man Dan. "I can't tell you," is Mourinho's reply.

Chelsea v Manchester United? In the FA Cup quarter-finals? At Stamford Bridge? It is like going back to 1950.

And the Blues are marking the occasion with a retro programme cover. Costs a tad more than a sixpence though.

It's 10 years since these two sides met in the first FA Cup final at the new Wembley - Didier Drogba poked in the only goal in a poor game.

Has there been a better 'big-game' player than Drogba? The man loved a final.

Of course, Manchester United can trump any double chat at any time with their treble achievements of 1999.

And after winning that last double in 2010 Carlo Ancelotti was sacked a year later. After finishing second.

So maybe don't get too excited Antonio...

The Red Devils have scored just three times in their last nine clashes with Chelsea, and never more than once in any of those games.

Marcus Rashford had better be fit.

  17. 'Rashford made his own decision to play'published at 19:10 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2017

Chelsea v Manchester United (19:45 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho: "We know it is a difficult match for us. We know our opposition is at the maximum of their potential, every player is fresh and ready and they are showing us respect by playing their best team."

On his selection problems: "We are tired, we miss lot of players, we have a big match on Thursday, we are afraid of extra-time, but we want to win."

On Marcus Rashford overcoming illness:  "The decision has come from him. He understands the situation, he is the only one forward with a chance to play. He put himself on the line and he plays. Let's see how he goes."

  18. Don't forget your forwardspublished at 19:09 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2017

    We've all done it.

When packing for a little trip away - maybe a hop to Europe for a city break, a weekend at a mate's or even just a mundane journey to see family - you always manage to leave something at home.

It's usually a phone charger in my case. That or a toothbrush.

Jose Mourinho got off the train to London on Sunday night without his entire forward line.

So it's a good job that Marcus Rashford made himself available this afternoon and popped down.

Chelsea make two changes from the team that won at West Ham. Nemanja Matic is in for Cesc Fabregas, Willian for Pedro. Both players to drop out are on the bench.

Chelsea:  Courtois, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill, Moses, Kante, Matic, Alonso, Willian, Costa, Hazard.  Subs : Begovic, Fabregas, Zouma, Pedro, Batshuayi, Terry, Chalobah

Marcus Rashford starts for Manchester United , despite suggestions that he would be too ill to do so. He is one of four changes from the side that drew 1-1 at Rostov in the Europa League on Thursday. David de Gea is back in goal, while Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia return for Marouane Fellaini and Daley Blind.

This is our best guess on the formation...

Man Utd : de Gea, Jones, Smalling, Rojo, Valencia, Ander Herrera, Pogba, Darmian, Mkhitaryan, Rashford, Young.  Subs : Bailly, Mata, Lingard, Carrick, Blind, Romero, Fellaini.

  20. Mourinho out for revenge?published at 19:05 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2017

Chelsea v Manchester United (19:45 GMT)

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

Jose Mourinho was humiliated on his return to Chelsea as Manchester United manager in October as Antonio Conte's side handed out a 4-0 thrashing.

Mourinho never forgets such moments so it will be interesting to see his approach to tonight's FA Cup quarter-final here in west London.

He is without the injured Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic starts a three-match ban for elbowing Bournemouth's Tyrone Mings.

It has placed a huge weight of responsibility on Marcus Rashford, who has apparently risen from his sick bed to start.
