"I think that's a very big win - the whole Championship now sees that we are a serious team in this league. We played our socks off, we fought and that is my dream to play in big games and score in the last minute.

    Michael Hefele, Huddersfield's match-winner

What followed after Michael Hefele's winner was ugly, to say the least, but it is that moment which has given Huddersfield a massive win over their West Yorkshire rivals.

The Terriers move above Leeds into fourth, a point ahead with a game in hand.

Four minutes were added on, but the drama following the goal means no-one really knows how much more time there is to play.

Huddersfield are playing no-nonsense football now, simply hoofing the ball as far away from their goal as possible as Leeds try to salvage something.

There were also a flurry of bookings handed out to players, who also got involved in the handbags which followed Michael Hefele's goal.

Huddersfield's Elias Kachunga and Leeds defender Pontus Jansson are among those to go in the book.

For the record, Hefele's goal was not offside, which seemed to be one of the reasons that the Leeds players and staff were angered.

    There have been TWO sending-offs.

Both managers have been sent to the stands for a scuffle following the goal.

David Wagner was certainly a bit naughty, while Leeds boss Garry Monk may feel a bit hard done by.

He's a big man, and he's produced on the big occasion.

Huddersfield playmaker Aaron Mooy's hopeful shot is deflected and and German defender Michael Hefele is in the right place to find the net.

The goal wasn't pretty, and David Wagner celebrates with his players and goes on to shoulder barge his opposite number Garry Monk.

    Huddersfield 1-1 Leeds

The pace remains frenetic, and the pressing relentless.

Neither side is showing the required quality to put a slick move together.

I'd wager that Reading and Brighton fans will be pretty pleased if the score remains the same...

A reasonably good chance for the Terriers, as Christopher Schindler beats his man and puts in a cross which Elias Kachunga gets a touch to.

However, Leeds defender Pontus Jansson puts him under enough pressure that the touch is by no means a firm one, and it drifts wide.

What a few minutes for Oxford!

They trailed 1-0 but now lead 2-1 thanks to Rob Hall's 20 yarder.

    Huddersfield 1-1 Leeds

Huddersfield substitute Joe Lolley is the latest to take a speculative swing from range, but his effort flies over.

I'd be lying if I said a goal was imminent, because both sides are starting to be a bit cautious.

Remember, Leeds are a place and two points above Huddersfield, who are fifth in the table.

No goals in the second half in West Yorkshire but we do have one in Wiltshire.

Liam Sercombe levels for the visitors with a finish at the back post.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 76 mins

    Huddersfield 1-1 Leeds

It's a debut for Leeds winger Modou Barrow, who has linked up with Garry Monk for a second time - joining on loan from Swansea.

The Gambian international has been a tricky customer in the Premier League at times, so Huddersfield could have their work cut out as their legs tire.

Stuart Dallas is the man to come off.

  13. YELLOW CARD (Bartley)published at 73 mins

    Huddersfield 1-1 Leeds

Leeds centre-back Kyle Bartley gets a bit carried away, dribbling the ball forward deep into the Huddersfield half with no care in the world.

However he has his pocket picked, and unceremoniously hauls down Elias Kachunga on the halfway line.

    Booking for Bartley.

    Huddersfield 1-1 Leeds

We have 20 minutes of normal time remaining.

Huddersfield have won their last two games against Leeds, though both were at Elland Road.

Leeds meanwhile have won their last two away league fixtures against Huddersfield – but they’ve never won three in succession against their West Yorkshire rivals.

    Try picking a winner...

I have definitely got my wish for a more open second half, back to how it was before the interval.

Collin Quaner miskicks his volley inside the box for Huddersfield, while Alfonso Pedraza almost scores with his first involvement for Leeds, but cannot quite replicate what Izzy Brown did for the hosts in the first half.

Joe Lolley is on for the Terriers, with Rajiv van La Parra making way, while Nahki Wells replaces Quaner.

    That's more like it.

The Terriers are patient and it almost pays off, Elias Kachunga putting a tantalising ball into the area which is just out of Rajiv van La Parra's reach.

Meanwhile, Alfonso Pedraza has replaced Souleymane Doukara for Leeds, coming on for his debut.

It's Huddersfield's turn to have some possession and territory.

However despite the will of the home fans, Leeds are disciplined, having numbers back to push the hosts back towards their own goal.

I reckon both managers were a bit worried at how open the first half was, so have had words with their sides at the break.

A pity for the neutrals if so.

    Huddersfield 1-1 Leeds

There haven't been any major incidents since the resumption, but Garry Monk's side are looking the more likely to make something happen.

Chris Wood is at the focal point of everything Leeds do going forward, but they are yet to forge a chance of note.

Interestingly, despite being fourth in the table ahead of this weekend, Leeds have attempted the second fewest shots on target in the division - just 102.

Stuart Dallas is getting into the thick of things for Leeds.

First his cross is intercepted by Tommy Smith, with Chris Wood waiting behind to tap-in.

The Northern Ireland international then has a half-volley blocked by a determined Huddersfield back-line.

At last, we may have found our pantomime villain for the afternoon.

Huddersfield defender Michael Hefele's arm brushes the face of Pablo Hernandez as he brings the ball out from the back, and the Leeds forward falls to the floor.

There is contact but it's minimal, and the home faithful have no sympathy whatsoever.
