  1. CLOSE!published at 16:17 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Bournemouth 2-0 Middlesbrough

Well, this has been Boro's problem.

They put a little bit of pressure on at one end and then nearly concede at the other.

It's a cracking ball from Ryan Fraser, dipping and bouncing across the six-yard box and Benik Afobe stoops to meet it with his head, but Brad Guzan does well to parry it away.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

Swansea have subbed off their goalscorer Fernando Llorente and brought on Mike van der Hoorn.

As it stands, Paul Clement's side are out of the drop zone on goal difference, with Hull still goalless against Watford.

    Swansea 1-0 Stoke

Stoke are desperately trying to get the ball to Peter Crouch, who is lurking in the box, but every time they are scuppered by Lukasz Fabianski.

Crouch escapes from the penalty area and takes a snap-shot from 20 yards out, but again it's safe in the hands of the Swansea keeper.

    Bournemouth 2-0 Middlesbrough

Nice feet from Alvaro Negredo, terrible finish.

The bullish Middlesbrough forward bounces off one Bournemouth defender, flicks it over the head of another and then lashes a half-volley into the south coast sky.

That had a touch of the Tony Yeboahs about it - until the finish.

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Phil Jagielka has saved Everton, there.

The defender throws himself in front of Manuel Lanzini's shot and blocks it with his head.

Now the visitors are coming forward. Ademola Lookman plays around in the box with some nice trickery but it's eventually cleared.

This game may have finally got going.

    Hull 0-0 Watford

Hull are struggling to settle, which is surprising given their home form since Marco Silva's arrival.

Watford's attacking play seems to be going through Nordin Amrabat, with the fleet-footed winger finding space on their right.

Twice in quick succession he's pulled off a nice trick only to not quite pick out a team-mate with the delivery.

    Bournemouth 2-0 Middlesbrough

That's probably as close as Middlesbrough have come to finding a route back into things at Bournemouth.

Stewart Downing whips in a deep corner and there are three Boro players competing against each other to get their head on it at the back post.

It looks like Alvaro Negredo who wins the battle, but the Spaniard nods over.

I'm sure for his first game back Jack Butland would have preferred a better defensive performance in front of him.

But you know goalkeepers, they like hard work and they like to be busy, and Butland has certainly been the busier of the two keepers.

Nick Sutton: West Ham did pretty well restricting Everton to not a single effort - how about a compliment?

Good point. We'll try and find something nice to say about the Hammers and we'll dedicate it to you, Nick.

    Bournemouth 2-0 Middlesbrough

I wonder what was said in the Middlesbrough dressing room at half-time?

Gaston Ramirez is unlikely to be Mr Popular among his team-mates, that's for sure.

They've come out with a bit of intent in this second half though, Stewart Downing rolling back the years and galloping forward down the wing before seeing his cross blocked.

    Better from the visitors, slightly.

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Everton have made two changes - Gareth Barry and Ademola Lookman have come on for Tom Davies and Idrissa Gueye.

There's also been a change in the officials' line-up. Sian Massey has pulled up injured so she's now the fourth official and Lee Probert is running the line.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Hull 0-0 Watford

It's midfielder Evandro off, forward Abel Hernandez on for the Tigers.

Hull desperately need something from this, but remember they're down to 10 men after Oumar Niasse's controversial sending off.

A big 45 minutes of football for the teams at the bottom of the table.

Very ragged performances from both teams, really.

Mark Hughes will be very unhappy with the way his side started this game. For such an attacking line-up Stoke have done very little going forward. I'd expect significantly more intent in the second half.

Jamie Thunder: Surely the strikers are the bullets and the team is the gun?!

Now we're at the business end of the EFL season, there are plenty of permutations to keep an eye on.

As it stands, Swindon will be relegated to League Two and Leyton Orient will drop out of the Football League.

Wigan will be relegated from the Championship if they fail to win and other results go against them. They're currently drawing 0-0 with Cardiff.

Middlesbrough cannot concede a third. The manager needs to get his side in at half-time, rearrange, play with two banks of four and shore up the defence. Then hope to nick one from a dead-ball, and then perhaps the odds will turn in their favour.

This was the scene before kick-off at the Vitality Stadium as Bournemouth and Middlesbrough paid their respects to former Boro defender Ugo Ehiogu.

The 44-year-old died on Friday after suffering a cardiac arrest at Tottenham's training centre on Thursday.

The fans repeated the applause in the 44th minute, with chants of 'Ugo' ringing out around the ground.

I was looking forward to this game. The sun is out, I'm at the Olympic Stadium, Everton have a side full of exciting talent including the league's top scorer in Romelu Lukaku.

But what have I seen? Absolutely nothing. An awful game.

Oh look, Lukaku's touched the ball! Deary me...

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Bournemouth 2-0 Middlesbrough

    Easy street for Bournemouth.

Early goals from Josh King and Benik Afobe for the hosts and Gaston Ramirez sent off for Middlesbrough.

A stroll in the sunshine for Eddie Howe's side so far.
