  1. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Coleraine 0-0 Linfield

Controversy! Aaron Burns smashes an effort from the edge of the area, which Chris Johns smothers haphazardly. Andrew Waterworth uses his predatory instinct to poke the ball home just as Johns loses his grasp of the ball. The Linfield players immediately look to the referee, who initially allows the goal to stand, only to reverse his own decision and disallow it!

    Dungannon Swifts 2-0 Carrick Rangers

A great start for the hosts as they double their lead. Ryan Harpur tapping into an open net after Mitchell's initial shot was saved.

  3. goal

GOALpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Dungannon Swifts 1-0 Carrick Rangers

Andrew Mitchell, perhaps unsurprisingly, scores the first goal of the day. The Glenavon-bound striker glances his header into the bottom corner following Jarlath O'Rourke's cross from the left.

  4. Linfield starting wellpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Coleraine 0-0 Linfield

The visitors have had the best of the early exchanges, pinning the Bannsiders' defence back as they assert their authority immediately from the kick-off. Linfield have had a couple of corners already but Coleraine defended both competently, to their credit.

  5. We're off!published at 15:02 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Coleraine 0-0 Linfield

What an atmosphere at the Showgrounds! The Irish Cup final is still two weeks away but you'd be forgiven for thinking this was it!

  8. Don't look backpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Coleraine v Linfield

Linfield have been relentless recently, picking up seven wins on the trot, but they have failed to beat Coleraine in their three meetings this season, which is exactly why David Healy will be telling his team to forget about history.

Of course, today is as good a time as any for the Blues to end their mini-duck against Oran Kearney's side, who lost for the first time since Boxing Day on Tuesday to Crusaders.

  10. Lyttle departure 'the right move'published at 14:42 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Cliftonville v Glenavon

Former Cliftonville boss Liam Beckett isn't surprised by Gerard Lyttle's departure from the club.

    Quote Message

I think it's the right decision for both parties. It's a good challenge for Gerard to try his luck down at Sligo Rovers because it had come to an end at Cliftonville. For some reason, I don't think he was ever truly accepted at Cliftonville. They've been on a poor run of form since Christmas and that hasn't gone down well with the supporters who, because of the success in recent years, want the club to be at the top.

  12. Who's countingpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Baxter longest-serving manager

Former striker Stephen Baxter became Crusaders manager as a 39-year-old in February 2005 after the dismissal of Alan Dornan. Now he is hoping to guide the north Belfast club to a third Irish League title in a row.

  14. Grounds for concernpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Ballymena United v Crusaders

The Ballymena Showgrounds have not been the happiest of hunting grounds for the Crues this season. They were beaten 2-1 by David Jeffrey's United back in October and lost 3-1 to Linfield when the County Antrim Shield final was staged there in February.

    Coleraine v Linfield

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. David Healy goes with the same line-up which swept Glenavon side midweek, with captain Jamie Mulgrew being passed fit after picking up a knock in the win.

Coleraine, though, are without the injured Lyndon Kane while Jamie McGonigle is on the bench. Scottish striker Jordan Allen starts up front alongside James McLaughlin with Eoin Bradley also sitting out ahead of the Irish Cup final in two weeks' time.

    Ballymena United v Crusaders

Champions Crusaders stick with the 11 which started Tuesday's 3-2 comeback win over Coleraine. Ballymena have their two goal machines on board - Johnny McMurray and Cathair Friel who were both on target in the 4-1 win over Cliftonville.

    Five Irish Premiership matches

We know that good things can't last forever, and the Irish Premiership's absorbing title race is no different. After another drama-filled programme of matches on Tuesday night, this afternoon brings with it the strong possibility that we will have a destination for this year's Gibson Cup.

Yes, if Crusaders beat Ballymena United at the Showgrounds and Linfield lose away at Coleraine, Stephen Baxter's men will clinch a third successive title and match the Blues' hat-trick in 2012.

They say champions are built on a mindset which never allows them to entertain the thought of giving up and, if that is true, the omens are good for Crusaders. The Shore Road outfit have come from behind in their last two games against Cliftonville and Coleraine to clinch dramatic 3-2 wins, leading many to predict that the title will indeed be staying at Seaview.

However, Linfield - to their credit - have made an honest team out of Crusaders every step of the way and will be praying that former Blues boss David Jeffrey can grant them a huge favour by denying Crues a potentially decisive win today.

Away from matters at the summit, Cliftonville host Glenavon less than 24 hours after the departure of manager Gerard Lyttle to Sligo Rovers.

In the bottom six, Dungannon Swifts welcome Carrick Rangers to Stangmore Park while relegated Portadown travel to Glentoran hoping to salvage a glimmer of positivity from the wreckage of their season.

So sit back, relax and enjoy all of the goals, drama and excitement right here before tuning into Final Score at 5pm on BBC2. It's going to be a good day.
