  • Stoke have lost five of their last six games

  • West Ham can secure safety this weekend

  1. CHANCE!published at 15:46 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Stoke 0-0 West Ham

Great scenes as Jonathan Calleri has just tried to rabona the ball into the back of the net! The striker makes a great run down the right and his low shot into a busy penalty area rebounds and the Argentine has another crack at it, but his silky shot is blocked by Bruno Martins Indi.

That save from Jack Butland was so good, this was Andre Ayew's reaction...

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:34 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Stoke 0-0 West Ham

That was almost Andy Carroll-esque from Andrew Ayew. The Ghanaian connects perfectly with a cross from Arthur Masuaku, but Jack Butland pulls off an impressive save to deny the goal-bound bicyle kick.

England boss Gareth Southgate is watching on here. Wonder who he's got his eye on?

A return to the England squad is surely on the cards for Jack Butland after 13 months out with that ankle injury he picked up in the 3-2 win over Germany last March.

    Stoke 0-0 West Ham

Marc Muniesa is lucky he didn't get a second yellow there. It's a clumsy challenge from behind on Cheikhou Kouyate but Lee Probert just gives a free-kick. We've seen those given...

Glen Johnson heads over as the ball comes in under pressure from Jose Fonte, before Jack Butland punches the resulting corner clear.

Saido Berahino is desperate to score that first goal - as he should be - he is a usually great goalscorer. He would have got it were it not for that incredible block from Winston Reid.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Stoke 0-0 West Ham

Marc Muniesa is the first to go into referee Lee Probert's book. The Spaniard loses the ball to Edimilson Fernandes, and Cheikhou Kouyate looks to be away. Muniesa isn't having that and he takes one for the team as he clatters him on the halfway line.

Stoke fans will be looking at where they are in the league and saying: "Why are West Brom above us? Pound for pound they are not as good as us..."

There are just too many players who don't turn up for me.

    Stoke 0-0 West Ham

Saido Berahino almost ended that goal drought I mentioned earlier. Marc Muniesa whips in a great ball and Berahino doesn't do much wrong. He shoots on the turn, but his shot is well blocked by Winston Reid.

His search for a first goal for Stoke goes on...

    Stoke 0-0 West Ham

Jack Butland has been called upon early doors here, but Manuel Lanzini doesn't do enough to trouble the Stoke goalkeeper. The Argentine cuts inside from the left, but his curling shot is easily stopped.

Five minutes in and we've already had a shot on target. Happy days!

Here's what Slaven Bilic had to say about today's game:

"People are talking about who is safe but it is irrelevant. We have four games left, a big game on Saturday and we are looking for points.

"There is a gap between us and mid-table, it is a small gap but with four games to go we are talking about 12 points and we have to concentrate on our next game.

"We are approaching them as four cup finals."

There are two clubs who haven't performed as well as they would have hoped this season but have managed to keep a decent buffer between themselves and those anxiously looking over their shoulders at the scramble for Premier League survival.

A single point separates the teams in the table with Stoke in 11th and West Ham lying 14th - seven points clear of the relegation zone at the moment.

It's hard to pick a winner here, with Mark Hughes' side having lost five of the past six and West Ham winning only one of the past 10, though they are unbeaten in the past three

    • The Potters have 39 points from 34 matches - only once before in the Premier League have they had fewer points at this stage of the season (37 in 2012-13).
    • Saido Berahino has gone 11 games without scoring for Stoke since joining from West Brom in January. He last scored in February 2016, although he has scored in three of his four starts against West Ham in the Premier League.

  19. 'I don't see West Ham going to Stoke and winning'published at 14:37 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

Stoke v West Ham (15:00 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

I'm not sure what has happened to Stoke, who have lost five of their past six matches, but I am sure their manager Mark Hughes will turn it around.

The Potters did not manage their first league win until mid-October and have had quite an up and down season, but I actually think they will finish the campaign strongly.

Five points from their past three matches have taken West Ham clear of the relegation dog fight, but I still don't see them going to Stoke and winning.
